    Should we name and shame

I do not like to read comments like "you have to expect this kind of behaviour" and, in previous threads on this, we've seen things like "don't go to games if you can't put up with it", "it's part of the game", and so forth. No it fucking isn't. In the 1970s it was common behaviour to shout...

    Should Mark Robins be sacked?

The off-field shenanigans are something else again - shouldn't really affect MR's long term planning on the football department side of things. But I agree it would be good to have certainty, ideally a permanent / long-term deal at the Ricoh and an end to the legals, so the whole issue ceases to...

    Should Mark Robins be sacked?

I disagree. We're not on a treadmill desperately needing instant success NOW NOW NOW. It's not critical that we get promoted this season. We only got relegated last time and a few season where we're competitive at the right end of the table will stop the bleeding. This will give time for a...

    Should Mark Robins be sacked?

I have faith that he knows the way he wants to play and he will continue to build up the squad he wants. You can't turn a club round in 12 months, you need years. I'd allow him 2-3 "failure" seasons before really putting him on the clock. Let's face it, the method of allowing a manager 18 months...

    Should Mark Robins be sacked?

Arrgh no it isn't sackable. Do you sack someone because they come near to a target and miss? No. It's called investing in people; I have full confidence we'll be a strongrer force next season if MR stays on that we'd be if we rip it all up and start all over again .

    Should Mark Robins be sacked?

I think being 3 points off the PO slots by mid Feb is acceptable, especially with gamrs in hand. Being competitive this season was key and we have done that despite the recent blip. It's not sackable.

    Should Mark Robins be sacked?

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere but according to Wikipedia, MR's second tenure up to 13th Feb has seen him put together a win ration of 48.1% from 52 games. Hardly a sackable offence. If we expect better from ANY manager then we're in for a disappointment.

FFS! WE ARE STILL ONLY 3 POINTS FROM THE PLAYOFFS!!!

Ah, your previous post read as if you were saying the autos should be our target! Point taken.

FFS! WE ARE STILL ONLY 3 POINTS FROM THE PLAYOFFS!!!

For me the focus has to be on finishing as high as possible, be that 3rd, 7th etc. The target is promotion by any means so the autos are preferable but P/Os are acceptable. Failing that, since relegation in 2001 we haven't had a single season where we've had a season-long sustained campaign...

FFS! WE ARE STILL ONLY 3 POINTS FROM THE PLAYOFFS!!!

Almost certainly. I'm no Alan Shearer-style pundit but my gut feeling is that over the years we generally haven't done that often enough which has led us to struggle.

FFS! WE ARE STILL ONLY 3 POINTS FROM THE PLAYOFFS!!!

My insight on this is that we need to get more points than the teams 8th and below by the end of the season, and to get there we need to win more games than the teams around us between now and the end of the season.

I don't understand the appeal but nor do I find them embarrassing. For me they do not symbolise anything at all.

    Max biamou league stats

Someone once said that you can only tell the worth of something on the basis of the question "if it didn't exist, would there be a need for it?". If we didn't have Biamou under contract and someone said "we can sign this non league striker who won't score", would we want to sign him? If we...

I've never bought one of these scarves or even been tempted to do so, but the hostility on here towards them is a bit surprising. I never realised people felt so strongly!

Match Thread Coventry City at Brighton and Hove Albion Match Thread - Saturday 17th Feb

This cup run will have filled the coffers nicely, given the price money on offer and the slice of gate receipts we'll get (from today especially). There where whispers lat in 2017 that we'd be running out of cash before May without some uptick in fortunes; as it happens, the cup run has given us...
