2-year old killed in hit-and-run, McDonald Road

I'm the same as you. I have a "no booze" rule but will occasionally break it to have a pint. But on the basis of this news yesterday I think it's time to observe the rule 100%.

2-year old killed in hit-and-run, McDonald Road

I have nothing but admiration for those men and women who work in the "specially-trained police officer" role where they have to try to "assist the family at this time". What the hell do you say when you walk into a police interview room to be confronted by the parents of two little children who...

2-year old killed in hit-and-run, McDonald Road

i just don't think that would be possible for most parents. Mate of mine died aged 17 in a RTA. His mum left his bedroom as he'd left it for 9 years after he died. She was never the same woman after that. Obviously I have no sympathy for those involved if they have indeed scarpered, dumped the...

2-year old killed in hit-and-run, McDonald Road

FFS, and to think their parents would have been going about today as just a normal day. Lunch as normal, possibly on half term. Then by teatime their kids are dead after a split-second, out of the blue moment of catastrophe. Just horrible. And the driver(s) are now suspected of drink...

Yes but not before they dumped the motor

2-year old killed in hit-and-run, McDonald Road

the car was dumped which implies it was maybe stolen? To be fair I can think that the person absolutely panicked on thinking they'd hit a kid and left the world of reason, just freezing and driving off....but not something that any of us would hope we'd do in that terrible situation.

    Should Mark Robins be sacked?

We'd have pissed League One and probably be in the Champ by now. IMO.

    Should Mark Robins be sacked?

Sorry don't agree, who knows what progress we'd have made if we kept the faith with them. I don't think any of them deserved the sack because none had 3 years on which to judge them. Football is out of hand with people expecting managers can do a turnaround job within months of joining. Would...

    Should Mark Robins be sacked?

What do those 17 years teach you about the long term effectiveness of sacking 'underperforming' managers every 15 months?

    Should Mark Robins be sacked?

Disagree with this, there is no basis for such assertions. Looking at your sentence, how would yoy feel if we playing Keegan (mid 90s) era entertaining football, winning or losing 4-3 but occupying 17th place. Genuinely interested. I am happy to look for improvements anf learnings over 3...

    Should Mark Robins be sacked?

I just don't get why you are both expecting and demanding results this season. Why not give gim a free pass for 2 years and judge him after year 3? We've had enough managers working under pressure and failing, let's try taking the pressure off and see how this affects results in three years tine...

    Should Mark Robins be sacked?

Why not? It's ridiculous to think that he stands or falls over the performances over a single season. Give him 3 years and judge then.

    Should Mark Robins be sacked?

No shit. The point is if he doesn't win games that doesn't mean he deserves criticism. Don't think you get that. Football isn't about short term results or performances.

    Should Mark Robins be sacked?

He can do as he sees fit, neither of us are qualified to say what he HAS to do. Judge him after 3 years

    Should Mark Robins be sacked?

Below 18th by mid next season. What i mean is that sticking with the wrong approach for 3 games, or indeed other games this season, is a fair basis for judging him negatively. He is trying an approach and doesn't HAVE to react. What i am saying is i don't mind him getting it wrong and us...

    Should Mark Robins be sacked?

Without getting into "was Chris Coleman a good manager" again, my argument here is that's unfair to negatively judge any manager until they have had 3 years, unless form is truly catastrophic e.g. 10 defeats in a row. Rebuilding the club will take years and will never happen if we press the...
