I am writing the whole year off after being given hope and then having it taken away in true CCFC style. Regarding our season and football on the whole this year I will expunge all memory of it from my mind, including whoever won the Premier League, except I will recall who was relegated. ;)

Surely it depends how outraged people are? The press seem to be whipping up a storm. It is regrettable but the tub thumping seems a little over the top. He made a stupid mistake, and has apologised. If he made it again, then he cant argue he hasnt learnt that the word is unaccpetable.

I was thinking in the same persepctive. Perhaps Andy Turner or Simon Gilbert should write it could of been us IF We owned our own ground, had different owners who invested eleventy billion pounds in the team, had successive promotions, we won more games than other teams etc yadda yadda yadda...

To be fair even the shittest teams have had more of a whiff of success than us in the past 25 years or so. A top 6 finish, or promotion would open the flood gates and bring back a lot of old and new fans. Someone needs to tell SISU it isn't complicated, success equals more fans equals more income.

Owners will be swayed by a potential return, not so much the fanbase, unless they are a proper fan, and lets face it not many clubs are owned by fans. The thing is Nick, we are a nation of moaning bastards and if something isn't good, many people go and do something else, and sadly that is what...

The owners will change, the politicians will change, and the City will still have a football team. The change of ownership will bring back fans, but the biggest thing will be success on the pitch, that is what we are all starved of. Any success will bring back old and new fans. I don't doubt...

Totally agree. It will come one day. I remember how far Brighton slumped under similarly shite owners, but eventually they went, and from the days of being homesless, nearly going out of the league, to playing at the Withdean stadium, they are now on a much stronger footing, owning their own...

It seems fairly apparent that their are riches to be made from getting to the Premier league. We can see it, whether SISU can is another matter. Whilst I don't want the club to nearly bankrupt itself again, and spending money isn't any guarantee of success, some investment would certainly help...
