    Transfer Rumour Norman Bassette

I do hope this does not end like Preston buying Bayliss. Promising star costs money, languishes in the U21's, doesn't fulfill his promise, sold at a loss 3 years later. The key thing is how much of the fee is upfront as that is the risk element.

Still think they are very powerful and that draw there last year was probably the best and most unlikely result of the season

Can't see us keeping a clean sheet. Can see us scoring goals. God knows which way it will go. Except against the really big clubs like Leeds I always think we have a chance of a win. Key decisions Bidwell v Da Silva - Bidwell every time, even off form, and particularly away from home Central...

    Summer transfer window 2024

We appear to have two marquee signings in one position. I remain puzzled that we spend a couple of million on a bench warmer. Dunno where you get the paranoia idea from. In the two areas most identified on here, we actually have 6 players covering three positions all of whom are either of an...

    Haji Wright

If this has been said already sorry but... At one point on Friday in the 2nd half Haji had a long cross field ball coming towards him and had a marker right on his back. He controlled the ball perfectly on his chest, killing the pace of it instantly, then turned and left the defender for dead...

    Summer transfer window 2024

There is a consensus, as far as I can see, that we need strengthening in central midfield and central defence. The problem is that both those areas are covered by either recently acquired players or a strong established pairing All four central defenders have been acquired in the last 15...

My only concern about Dovin, allowing for the fact he was barely tested, came in the first half when dealing with a fairly tame cross from the left. He allowed Binks unchallenged to head it out for a corner from inside the 6 yard box. I would love a keeper to come and really get those. I can't...

    The CBS!

This is my first ever season with a season ticket (after all I have supported for over 60 years). I was a bit worried as at several games last year I was surrounded by gobby, negative dickheads. Millwall was particularly bad - had to move seat. Nice to report that the people around me are proper...

    The CBS!

The new arrangement for the away fans is so much better. Also was it my imagination but have they done something to make the posh seats underneath the boxes are more occupied. That always used to look bad for TV. You can tell that shirt sales have been good.

As far as I could see, Simms seemed to pose no threat to me and was central to conceding their first goal, otherwise this is on the mark Rudoni is a lovely footballer. You have to be my age to have seen Ian Gibson in his pomp 1967-69, but Rudoni is the nearest thing we have had to Gibbo. Just...

We gave away two very soft goals, and should have won at a canter. Somebody has to take the can for that. They were bang average. A couple of their players were little better than what you can see on the parks this afternoon.

I am between halfway and S.C. There were times when we were controlling the game, all in their half and it was like watching a cricket match. There was just a quiet hum, just before their second goal in particular. Of course it was madness with the winner. It was before that that mattered.

Rudoni is a star, Simms was pants. Everybody else except central defence had good games against mediocre opposition who should have been thrashed. But robins why pick that central defence? And it was obvious from the first minute what their game was and yet we got caught twice. Poor tracking...

I've seen City v Oxford three times in recent years. One of the worst ever performances was in 'League Cup' at their place 6 years ago. Truly dreadful. Then we lost to them at home in the League in the same season. Bright Enockbarre (spell?) in bright green boots dominated the game for the first...

shame, I liked BNC. Fantastic close control. But £3.5m for a man who would be second to MVC is not a goer.

..well I will be driving up from near Oxford. It is a pain in the evenings, you either have to set off way to early or come at the last minute as one way or the other you catch the traffic. And nobody ever said that finding parking online was easy and intuitive for the first time visitor.
