Match Thread Coventry v AFC Wim'don Match Thread - Wednesday 28th Sep

Not listening so someone do us a favour and confirm what TM has said please. I won't infer he's gone just because people comment on his tone of voice.

Reckon the late goal will provoke a bit of euphoria and convince him to stay. Before game i thought no win equals TM gone but now i am not so sure. It's like when Atherton stayed as england captain after that mentsl win over the Aussies in 97 when they only needed 125 to win. Series was gone but...

Draw will feel better now than if you had been offered it before kickoff. Might do enough to see mowbray stay on longer.

Comr on City, 9 mins to score against a team who started from scratch 14 years ago trialling parks players on Wimbledon common. We'd been championship for less than 12 months at that point.

I hope TM stays (tin hat on) but nobody can complain if we do not win and he goes. We've thrown away 4 leads this seadon, criminal when we have only scored 5 goals.

I can confirm from the other thread that PVA has beaten him to it.

    Catastrophic turnaround

Looked at Mowbray's CCFC stats by comparing two distinct spells: 31 games up to the thumping 4-1 Gills home win 37 games since that victory I was expecting a stark comparison but nothing like this. Between taking over and up to and including the 4-1 Gills game, our records was P 31 W16 L8...

    Nothing to do with SISU

Porlbem with laons is, as with last season, you base your "good team" around them, then they return to their parent club and you have to start all over again. Last season's success, such as it was, was thus built on sand. Nobody wants a shit team either - it's about putting together a strong...

    Nothing to do with SISU

Yeah, we've really beefed up the squad by replacing JOB, Fleck, Vincelot, Cole, Reda, Martin etc with players of a superior calibre....and you accused me of spouting BS, LOL....have you seen the league table lately?

    Nothing to do with SISU

I didn't say we were. I didn't say we were dependent on any particular players. Point I am making as the loan players are just as important to our ability to put out a senior team as they were last season.

Never miss a chance to say a good word for him!

    Nothing to do with SISU

It's not BS to say that, just like last season, we are padding our our squad with 6 loanees. TM specifically said last season he'd prefer to have only 1-2, but also that he knew we'd have the maximum quota again.

I won't be a burden to the club..

37 games played, 34 points accrued since the Gillingham 4-1. That's not just a bad start to the season. That looks terminal to me.

    Nothing to do with SISU

He has not cut down on loan dependency - we have the same number as last year. TM last year told me that we've maximum loans again this season. I agree with the OP. Part of the issue is giving Mowbray a 2 year deal, he is trying to put out a team to succeed in the short term not build for the...

    RIP Labour

Maybe they should go along with Tony Benn's original idea of annual re-selection of the leader, they'd be quids in as more students / dreamers / Militants flock to the colours. The mistake JC makes is that he thinks these people are representative of the country a whole (as did Foot before him...

    Mowbray out

I've had a look at results since the famous 4-1 win over Gills last season. Correct me if I am wrong but I think it reads as follows: 37 league games 8 wins 13 draws 16 defeats 34 points Couldn't be bothered with goals scored / against / difference or home record v away, sorry. I'm a "remainer"...
