    Selling the training ground

Has anyone put in more recent FOI requests to get an updated picture? If not, then the club may well have been speaking to Rugby and other areas to seek sites etc. Sounds like not, as today's news has obviously come as a shock.

Unless they have done more work on this that what we're aware of.

That old Sky Blue indifference factor is alive and well.

    Time for Les!!!

I have never seen him produce a "smoking gun" that tells me the council have done anything particularly wrong. Lots of irrelevant / minor stuff which he has tried to trump up with a very anti-CCC tone, but nothing really earth-shattering.

    Selling the training ground

It's not necessarily up for sale - they're exploring it as an option but equally they may well be doing the same thing in terms of acquiring a new site.

    New investors

You do feel like things are starting to come to a head, but this mood may all peter out (especially if we win tomorrow). On a separate note, does anyone else remember the line from the club/SISU around 2011 when they kept saying they were looking for new investors to "share the load" - that...

    Selling the training ground

To be fair to SISU (cough cough), there could be a good reason for this. I'm thinking that this may be a contingency plan for re-locating the training ground and academy onto a new, single ,site. If true (and nobody as yet has told me why the academy cannot move to Ryton, BTW) then it would...

    Time for Les!!!

I'm sure he will come up with a good excuse to cover them for the housing thing; he likes to point the guns towards the council as much as possible. He is "friends of friends" with Fisher and may be actual mates with him himself.

Petition SISU to sell the club

My gut feeling is that most of the signatures are proper Cov fans and only a relatively small number are non-City fans.

100% agree LAST. We've not won all season, only scored 3 goals, bottom of the league...meanwhile Gills have conceded more goals than any team in this division. Who the hell would be happy with a draw here???

    Rochdale at home Boycott

I don't agree - having a long term home, even as a tenant, would make the club more attractive to potential investors than now, when we're casting round for sites or talking about playing in a shoebox. The Ricoh reflects the ambition that this club should have. Yes, we don't own it, but...

Coventry City ground share with Coventry RFC at Butts Park Arena could be back on

They did the shafting first and most. They deserve what they get. Our eventual new owners will have the chance to start afresh and pick up the pieces. We just need SISU to sell for the recovery to begin.

    Mowbray, Go or Stay?

I'm amazed that so many fans, both in this poll and on the CT survey, want him to stay. I personally do but normally by now the knives are out. Maybe people are seeing through the "blame the manager" thing and are starting to realise where the blame really lies.

Gills fan I spoke to says they are shipping goals for fun. Things have to turn around for us at some point - the run has to end. 2-0 City.

Petition SISU to sell the club

Yes, but why wouldn't they, based on previous form? The city needs more homes, after all. If CCFC had permanently transplanted itself to BPA or elsewhere, the council would rather have houses than a rotting empty Ricoh. You're right, moving away is a bad idea from this point of view. IMO we...

Petition SISU to sell the club

The freehold is to the land Nick, not what is built on it. They can build houses instead (or sell it for development) witthe houses sold on suitable leasehold terms.

Petition SISU to sell the club

Because we'd never be able to return there, as owners, tenants or for one-off games. We'd be stuck in the BPA shoebox with no prospect of having a Ricoh size capacity should we need it. I don't see why they woudl try to stop it. If Wasps move lock stock out of Cov back to London, the Ricoh...
