    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

CB to organise and direct the back line is critical to be honest. The mistakes we're making are so rudimentary and a lot of it has to do with a complete lack of anticipation and us breaking from our shape too easily. Very little communication between any of them and no one being vocal doesn't...

    Thomas Asante

Thinking slightly out loud here. But the type of role he's being asked to play seems completely unsuited to him. He's seeing a lot of the ball which requires him to bring others into play or move the ball up the pitch quickly whether that be through a pass or carrying the ball. Rather than...

Rak-Sakyi in particular was a big threat. Probably would've been a different game had him and Campbell not been subbed off due to Ahmedhodžić's dismissal.

It's probably a cliche and not at all guaranteed to be a quick fix. But it does feel that we need a CB to organise the back line as none of the current three, nor the GK ever seem to vocalise anything. A bit of leadership and direction would go a long way to ensuring players are where they're...

Decision making needs to improve but yes he's starting to show what he's capable of.

Don't agree he exhibits a lack of effort, he's more just completely devoid of any kind of confidence.

He doesn't have the intensity to make his mark in games like that. Not that we really had an alternative but thought bringing him on was one of the key factors behind us taking our foot off the pedal.

Our pressing was actually done with purpose and thought as well. Rather than just BTA sprinting aimlessly at players like they'd just called his mum fat.

Have a look at the highlights and slow it down. The ball was a good two feet in front of him. So he probably wouldn't have got to it anyway even if an attempt was made, and if he did from the angle he was facing I personally think it would've been a near certain OG.

Fair enough it wasn't solely on Dasilva which on first look when both goals went in but he's still very much a weak link and needs replacing. If it was 5 a side game I'd pick him every time but it isn't.

Thomas sticks a leg out to attempt at blocking that it's more than likely an OG so same result. Pointing the finger at Thomas and not Lati who's the real culprit screams bias against the former.

He was definitely too slow for the second, but Dasilva's disaster ball completely disrupted our shape and allowed Hamer the space to thread a ball through.

Agreed. Dasilva's positioning for Campbell's goal completely disproves Shmeee's arguement.

Looking back it was more him being outpaced. Although I still say he should be getting to the cross better as it was obvious where Rak-Sakyi was going to send it. The real issue was Lati didn't track Campbell's run and allowed him to get into a goalscoring position.

The entire point is you don't think our wing backs need to contribute defensively. So do you still stand by that?

Thomas pulled out of the clearance due to the risk of an OG. Lati let Campbell get ahead of him far too easily.

I think it will be to be fair. To claim it's not Dasilva's / MVE's job to defend is frankly idiotic.

Shmeee stop being so pedantic and accept you're wrong.

I think our full backs are expected to drop back defensively when the opposition counters. There isn't a galaxy in this universe where you can successfully claim that isn't their job.

Due to our issues defensively I can guarantee Carr isn't setting the team up as you think he is.
