    Frank Lampard Rumours

Back to the thread, interestingly betting markets have reopened after a spell of being closed as it seemed a done deal. Lampard is still favourite but Eustace down to 10/3.

Match Thread Burnley FC - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 26th November 19.45 ko

I was talking about recent form mate. It’s generally considered that form is circa the last 6 games. The point I’m making is that I don’t see the rush to fire him before having someone else lined up. If he wanted Robins gone, that’s up to him and he has the right to make that call but I think...

If you’re feeling shit and want to feel a little bit better before you go to sleep, console yourself that you’re not me. I’m still on the £500 premier league package and so far this season have only been able to watch 2 games live. My cost per game so far this season is £250 😂 it can always be worse

What worries me about Doug King

Because Dean Austin told him it was. Nelt to do with me guv’nor, I dealt him a great deck, he’s just playing the wrong cards. Recruitment has been shocking since Badlan left.

Seems a reasonable response 👍 Not that I need to engage with someone like you but if the action was a carefully considered decision made before Derby as suggested, we were literally in play off points form. You can’t argue with that, it’s numbers mate. (10 points from 6 games = 77 points).

League position is different to form mate. We had 10 points from 6 games coming into derby. (That’s a 77 point season form I.e playoffs)

The more I think about it, the more I think Doug and Robins had a proper row after Derby and it was an emotional, reactive decision. To not have anyone lined up to come in before sacking a manager that was in top 6 form is so fucking naive.

    Steve Cooper?

The fact Lampard isn’t even on there suggests it’s a done deal here surely. Why hasn’t it been officially announced

    Doug King programme notes

He mentions the target of “3 play off seasons in 5 years” which is something I’d forgotten about. Surely by that logic, you should give a manager the time until they can no longer achieve it, otherwise the target is actually play offs every season, otherwise you get sacked. We’ll never know if...

Doesn’t scream goals does it but in fairness he doesn’t have too many attacking options

    Josh Eccles

Funny, I’ve always thought it’s had the negative effect on him… I.e people under-rate him because he’s seen to just be a kid from the acadamy and a cheap option doing a job. If we paid £1m for him people would value him more imo

Think you might be mixing @PVA up with my comments. I was the one that said I’d’ve kept Biamou on for another year as a squad player and I probably wouldn’t have resigned Gyokeres after that loan at the time. Genuinely though, is it tiring just constantly trying to argue with everyone. I reckon...

    Josh Eccles

Good news and he’s deserved better terms. I think his last contract was seen as a low risk gamble for us and Eccles was probably happy to sign as he was in and out of the team (mostly due to injury) but also wasn’t getting in at CM ahead of Hamer and Sheaf. He’s deserved this if true. It would...

    Mark Robins Comments

Pure class. Not even a sniff of a snide remark or cryptic retort to being publicly scapegoated by a man pathetically trying to save face. He’s already a legend but I think it’ll be even greater in the coming years when I predict he’ll be the 7 year blip of brilliance either side of decades of...

    Frank Lampard Rumours

Haha genuinely close to being accurate tbf 😂 It’s cute you trying to get a reaction but I’m too zen to react. Just woken up and off for a day of surfing in 30 degree sunshine. Hope you are happy too, genuinely 👍

    Frank Lampard Rumours

Yeah and then you replied saying “at least try to”.. after I’d literally just said I will try to. I think you’re looking for an argument and I can’t be arsed mate. We’re all on the same side of wanting Cov to succeed. Well, you’ve just rejoined us after 7 years. Welcome back x

    Frank Lampard Rumours

This is peak irony from a man that literally didn’t post on the football thread for 4 days (only politics) from the moment we took the lead at Middlesbrough until we started losing at Derby, when you were posting every 2 mins again. And for what it’s worth, I literally say in the post you’re...

    Frank Lampard Rumours

I just don’t see how someone with mediocre management experience over the past 7 years can be seen as an improvement on someone with an exemplary management experience over the past 7 years. Offer other teams in this league Lampard v Robins and they’re snatching your hand off for Robins.

    Frank Lampard Rumours

Imagine pulling the trigger on Robins and facing the national backlash that Doug has over the past couple of weeks, all to end up with Frank Lampard. Really don’t know what Lampard has shown previously to suggest he’s so much better than Robins to lead our “deck” at this level. To continue the...
