Agreed and to be fair to Burnley, their defensive organisation is top notch which is why they are at the top of the table. It is pretty dour football to watch, but they’ve got a way that clearly stifles most teams in this league. If they could score goals, they’d be romping this league.

Imo, teams easily play through our midfield and I don’t think either Eccles or Sheaf are bad midfielders defensively. Which therefore, suggests something fundamentally defective with our tactical instructions/approach.

Burnley’s defence is the best in division for a reason. In fact, their defensive record is the best ever in the Championship at this stage of the season.

I genuinely believe we’re only 3/4 players off being a top side in this division. Get a top end CB to shore up the defence, a midfielder who can drive the ball in midfield and a better LB and that sorts out a lot of our issues.

Harsh. The defence conceded the 5th or 6th least goals last season and when Robins first switched to 4-2-3-1 the defence looked like our strongest asset. Instinctually, this points to a fundamental tactical/instruction problem. I do not believe these players are bad.
