I think Wilson deserves praise for that performance. Was solid and the most composed I've seen him for a long time. Simms looked a quality player. Shame no one else really stood out as quality. Palmer had the usual glimpse amongst the usual. BTA is a real dynamo. Almost needs to steady and...

I'd like to see us play 2 up front and Rudoni being a central midfield focal point. At the minute Simms is just too isolated. What's the latest on Sheaf's return?

Lati, Allen and Kitching ain't it are they.

We seem to have a knack of not getting the ball to two of our key players. Rudoni and Saka.

We always put everything on a missing player coming back. It won't make that much difference, even Saint Sheaf. I'm not sure Robins is a great motivator. He's an organiser.

    Victor Torp

What a load of cobblers. We have a squad. That's what it's for.

    Victor Torp

So how do you think he 'sets the team up' different at the start and end of the season?

Why on earth is that 'clear'!

How do you get 98, 99%? He played in 31 out of 46 games last season. That can't help.

I suspect Saka and EMC are told to stay wide to link with fullbacks. I think Robins is a bit too tactically rigid and defensively minded. I'd like Saka and Rudoni in particular to be given fairly free roles. With this squad we need tempo and to attack teams.

    Transfer Rumour Bobby Clark

Or don't spend most of your limited money on one area (forwards) and neglect another (midfield) that's been crying out for action for a few years.

We play in the Championship. It's a more physical league than the Premiership. It's pretty obvious we get bullied by physical teams (even with Sheaf playing) and have even played better against some Premiership teams who are less aggressive and more open. But this also relates to us playing...

    LOAN MARKET

To be honest he isn't a great leader. He is a respected but doesn't really drive a game as a captain.

A side issue. But how many of our players genuinely think they could play for a better team or at a higher level? How many really have that ambition? And I guess want to impress. Simms, Rudoni, MVE (maybe Saka).

We play so much better at tempo with players having more freedom. I really hope the kick up the arse isn't just about passing more for it's own sake. Get the ball to Rudoni and Saka and let them create.

Robins needs to address why we overwhelmingly start games very flat. So many poor first half performances. That includes looking at his motivation because we don't seem pumped up at the start of games at all. Even at home.

Saka is Japanese and Haji American.

I'd possibly agree with that. Although Eccles needs to improve his passing. Torp and Allen aren't ball winners. Allen is better without the ball than with it (not yesterday), but that isn't enough. What's worrying about Torp is he doesn't want the ball, verging on hiding.

Midfield is the heart of 'playing with intensity'. Winning the ball and quickly passing to players who can move forward. Do you think Torp, Allen, Eccles have the capability to deliver that?
