Wasps go to bottom of the pyramid

Using a picture of Dallaglio for a document highlighting sustainable finance is either ironic or extremely stupid:)

    Cricket 2024

Poor day's cricket with bat & ball. Tour seems more about getting Bairstow to 100 caps than anything. He's done nothing with bat, no replacement called up for Brook & Lawrence just carrying drinks.

exactly right. I think it's just 2 seasons with over 50% wins, until 2 seasons ago his comeback win record was appalling - think it was just 8 in first 4 seasons (new HC and Jefferson helped have 8 in 2022/23). Vikings's problems are mediocre, unambitious owners whoare satisified with not having...

We had keenum in 2017. Had to step in after Sam Bradford went down early (had been good replacing the injured Teddy Bridgewater). Not a great arm but could extend plays. Had two great receivers -thielen and it was Diggs breakout year (Minneapolis miracle) plus Dalvin Cook rookie year. Didn't...

Think the Falcons would pay him. Apparently 3 others in the mix.

Not going to cost them much for first year at least (vet minimum 1.2m dollars) as Broncos on the hook for his salary (39m).

We won't give him a fully guaranteed contract and he's never really "co-operated" in terms of releasing funds against the cap. Always been about the money first. Can't see how they can give a fully guaranteed 3 year contract to a 36 year old who's coming off a serious injury. Plus we have other...

So Broncos release Wilson at a massive cost. Took a disruptive QB off the Seahawk's hands for a load of good draft picks and players. Now going to eat a ton of dead money that willresult in other big earners/good players having to be released/traded. Always looked a bad deal for a QB who was...

Wasps go to bottom of the pyramid

It's another league that struggles to be viable. Reliant on national union financing and like the Rugby Prem had to sell off a large chunk of its media rights to CVC to stay afloat.

    F1 2024

Result was predictable and I'll be honest I'm so disinterested this year I hadn't even realized it was a Saturday race. Only thing that might disrupt Red Bull to some extent is the off-track issues. Posted on here a while back that Jos Verstappen isn't a popular or positive influence around the...

Wasps go to bottom of the pyramid

Shouldn't forget the complicity of certain influential council members/employees who were willing accessories due to their enmity towards our former owners - or that they let that overide any concern for the football team or its supporters (or indeed CRFC's future)

Wasps go to bottom of the pyramid

Hanging on hoping the RFU etc can force through changes to Championship that lets the likes of Wasps & London Irish jump the queue all the way upto the 2nd Tier.

That and not capitalising after Ashwin wicket in 1st innings. They should have been bowled out around the 200 mark and that extra lead could have been decisive.

    Cricket 2024

Probably 2 of the worst days Test cricket I've seen us play in years. From what should have been a useful platform of 200 odd for 2 lost 18 wickets for around 200 runs whilst giving up 400 runs for just 4 wickets.

What's impressive from Duckett is that he's absolutely capitalised on scoring opportunities whilst not really going unnecessarily Bazball crazy against good balls. Resulted in 88 ball run century inc 19 4s & a 6.

    Squad turnover

Modern football - high player turnover the norm. COVID actually "stunted" the norm due to the lack of cash in the system for the first normal season after lockdown. Long-serving players (more than 5 years) seem a rarity at any club

Seen everyone since 1987. They do know how to put on a spectacle. FA cup comparison is a sad one. Clubs have devalued it and TV lost interest. Used to be an all day show on the TV when I was a kid. It was a massive day particularly as there was so little other live football on the telly.
