    Atmosphere at Today’s Game

I was there FF in 81 as a 10 year old and have talked about it for years. Loudest ever HR that night and it was a very big deal. I guess Saturday and Hamer’s goal was even more special for quite a few reasons. I was lucky to be there with my closest family and friends. It was a play off final...

    Atmosphere at Today’s Game

I loved it and couldn’t be more proud of the team and our fans. Loved the pre match videos and even the DJ - easily pleased! One thing I can certainly tell you - in 40+ years of watching this Club - I’ve never gone more mental or felt more emotion in the crowd than after Hamer’s goal. Lifetime...

    This is our Club

As Jimmy features on the video - someone I know has spoken with Mrs. Hill today - Jimmy's widow. The message back is that our revival would make 'Jimmy very very proud and he would absolutely love this.' PUSB.

    This is our Club

This video was made at our lowest point - relegation to L2. What significant moments after that would you add to bring it up to date? -the L2 play off goals - Notts County away and celebrations/Wembley final -key goals from our L1 title winning season -the late late winners last season -Vik's...

Best of all - one of the greatest and most memorable chapters is currently being written.

Coventry City v Luton Town - Championship playoff final - 27th May 2023 - Wembley Stadium

I would simply argue croat that this is far bigger given the huge gulf between the divisions. The Premier league is on a completely different global scale compared to the 80s/90s.

Coventry City v Luton Town - Championship playoff final - 27th May 2023 - Wembley Stadium

In my opinion - this game is far bigger than 87 given the implications for the future of this club (and that's not diminishing anything about the memories of 87 either).

Coventry City v Luton Town - Championship playoff final - 27th May 2023 - Wembley Stadium

That actually wasn't in my lifetime shmmeee! Certainly understand to your point how massive and iconic that Wolves game was. But I would 100% argue the financial gap/profile between the top flight and the league below has historically never been wider - and this is why this game is the most...

Coventry City v Luton Town - Championship playoff final - 27th May 2023 - Wembley Stadium

I agree Robinshio. In terms of the importance of single games played - I see this as the biggest game in my lifetime. Including Spurs away in 97 - the benefits now of returning to the Premier League are just so massive.

Renaming of the Coventry Arena train line

'The Train for Robins' Line.' Just to pre-empt the hysterical reaction of a few posters on here as we are losing at half time tomorrow.

    Kasey Palmer

Just thinking about penalties sends a shiver down my spine - Sheff United, FA Cup 1998. A game we should have won by miles at home.

Match Thread Coventry City vs Middlesbrough Play off Semi final 1st leg Match Thread -Sunday 14th May

Just like last week, Middlesbrough have created very little despite the possession. Keep the faith lads. We’re going to do this.

    Gyokeres to West ham?

Imagine having this conversation even at the start of this season and talking about 25 million + for Gyo. It shows how much both Gyo and the team have progressed to be in this position even to be mentioning these kind of numbers.

    Gyokeres to West ham?

One thing's for sure about the likes of Hamer and Gyo - they are not lacking in confidence. I'm expecting some great things over the next 3 games.

    Gyokeres to West ham?

Good points Harvey. Gyo's pace is actually under-rated in my view - he's rapid, strong and basically unplayable at Championship level. Interesting to see how this transfers to the Prem with the higher quality of defenders.

    McFadz, McNally, Doyle

You really don't understand football do you?
  17. DannyThomas_1981

    McFadz, McNally, Doyle

The first names on the team sheet and the foundation on which we have built our season. A brilliant defensive unit - can't think of a better defensive three in my time watching the club. McNally was a master stroke in the window.

    Transfer Shouts

I see what you are saying Adam but I'm going to slightly disagree on this one. From memory transfer deals involving player swaps rarely work out. For us, we had Terry Gibson with Alan Brazil thrown into the deal. Total disaster. Gallagher to Blackburn with Wegerle moving in the other direction...

    Saturdays atmosphere

I'm just home. My ears are still ringing. It was unreal. And our playlist just keeps getting better - but as a special mention lovely to hear the O'Hare and Kelly songs again today.

    Saturdays atmosphere

Best sustained atmosphere of any game I've ever been too. Very special days - means so much after some of the darker moments over the past 20 years. The CBS is different class with 30,000. Twist and Shout - no words - epic!!
