WAGGOTT: We are ready to act...

    1st February 2013 !

Mutton wants to meet the Chinese

The most telling line from the interview is "Until something is finalised, the club’s transfer embargo will not be lifted". I'm finding the lack of probing questions being asked by the Telegraph is the most frustrating part of this saga. Questions such as: What happens at next week's League...

If Hoffman wasn't heading up a failed consortium ....

I didn't get the impression that Hoffman was willing to take on SISU's liabilities as part of the deal, but I may be wrong in that.

If Hoffman wasn't heading up a failed consortium ....

If you live in a house with a mortgage, you would still want paying for it. It's still your asset and has value, regardless of whether a mortgage is held against it. If that's you genuine belief, then I'm coming round to your house to offer £1 for it !!

So, SISU say they will learn from their mistakes......

Or Acquire the Ricoh, divert the income to pay off investers and liquidate the club.

    Craine Set To Leave

An entirely sensible way to run a club, not !! Also a false understanding of the rules, as the embargo is put in place as soon as the 65% is breached and/or transfers can be vetoed, therefore there is no choice but to bring the wage bill down.

    Craine Set To Leave

We can't afford his wages. We can only spend 65% of turnover. When will this sink in !!!

So, ready for another relegation battle?

But was is best for the club and what do fans want ? The club has now reached a position (regardless of who's to blame) that it can't spend more than 65% of it's income on player's salaries otherwise a transfer embargo ensues (ironic I know !). So what does everyone suggest should be done to...

So, ready for another relegation battle?

Given that the club has limited income streams, which are about to reduce further, what does everyone suggest SISU should do other than the path they are following now ? Remember that a new owner would have to comply with the League 1 rules in exactly the same way, so can't just splash out cash...

    What happens if ?

It's fairly obvious that SISU are now employing the same tactics used when they 1st took over at city, namely to push things to the last possible deadline in order to get other negotiating parties to cave in to their demands. I have a feeling that this time everyone is wise to this and will...

    Takeover may be quite close.....

The telling thing for me is the use of the word 'may' in the tread title. Surely if someone is confident in what they are saying then the word 'is' would be used ! Nonetheless, I still hope it proves to be correct.

    club statement on offal

Meetings over the next month take us to the 2nd week of June. If agreement is reached by that time, then the formalities of filing the accounts have to be completed. Absolutely no chance of having a squad in place by pre season training then !!

    All-time most hated player

The biggest 'hate' figure when he returned to play against City was the sadly departed Les Sealey. When he played for us he wasn't one to take abuse from the home fans and I can clearly remember him turning round to the West stand and shouting 'fuck off' as loud as he could when the abuse was...

Will Thorn learn from his mistakes for next season?

I think that probably sums why were so dismal away from home. Sitting back and inviting pressure caused us no end of problems, especially with the lack of pace to play on the break. 3 more wins away would have kept us up, but for some reason Thorn couldn't rectify the way we played and...

    Support the club!

It's simple. Most are staying away due to poor performance/lack of enjoyment, with the bye product being that they save money. As time goes on, they no longer budget to go to the matches, so can no longer afford it, plus the family time gained is an added bonus. The underlying reason for the...

Council to meet SISU on Thursday

Using your calculations the club will have to cut it's wage bill in half to meet League 1 rules and yet they are talking about maintaining the same budget. Something doesn't add up !
