I don’t see why you can’t live both. I certainly feel like I do anyway.

No thanks. Love Rugby but when I’ve got a spare afternoon I watch Coventry’s actual team rather than that lot.

Watching us win the World Cup is the pinochle of my life in terms of sport. That includes playing for my country. What’s the problem with that?

Winning promotion, the play offs and the EFLT was brilliant and I'll never forget it. However it's pipped by seeing the shootout win v Colombia, Trippier's free kick and Buttler running out Guptill.

With the squad we have available anything less than the semis is a failure.

It’s a difficult one to call in that group. Hungary could be difficult to beat. However if Germany do win in that game it probably won’t matter what they do against the other two sides as that will probably be enough for them to qualify. If we come second we will play second place in the Spain...

Feel similar. He’s a very good player that I want to do well but others are more deserving of the place.

    World Cup every two years?

As much as I love international tournaments this is a step too far. We shouldn’t be surprised though. They already managed to shoehorn another 8 and 16 teams into the Euros and World Cup respectively. It wasn’t that long ago where that was the total number of teams taking part in each...

Can’t wait for this. Finally got to buy our tickets again this week along with the two warm ups at the Riverside. Hoping the minuscule chance of a game abroad does come off. Will take anything at the moment though. If we play 6 games at Wembley for once I won’t be complaining about it...

    Stadiums

Best new: Donbass, Spurs, San Mames, Luzhniki. Best traditional: Craven Cottage, Boleyn, Goodison, Vicente Calderón. Worst new: London/Olympic Stadium, Wembley. Worst traditional: Whaddon Road, Kenilworth Road, Memorial, Priestfield.

    Gallagher retail park

Some of the roads around here are atrocious. Potholes are getting more and more abundant. Having to swerve away from the kerb a lot when I’m out on my bike to avoid damage and crashing. Another thing I’ve noticed is loads of these small gas canisters around. Gone over a few. Good job I’m running...

Kane will probably go down as the best English striker ever. He’s already scored 265 and he’s only 27.

His best performance to date for club or country was in Seville. He didn’t score but provided three assists.

One the subject of Harry Kane he’s clearly up there with the best in the world for goal scoring but it isn’t even the best part of his game. He’s so much better when he drops back and plays it to others.

Point is I would’ve taken that international break at the start. We clearly need to be more clinical and cut out the mistakes like we saw from Stones but I feel a lot better about us going forward than I would as a fan of most other nations.

We played like that (we were poorer if anything) against Belgium and won.

Should be playing better and made a few mistakes no doubt but we were by far the better side. 3 wins, 9 goals scored and one conceded is good enough for me. Especially after what some of the other better nations have done this break. Hopefully that’s the last game we can’t attend. Positive signs...
