Have people really watched that and think Eccles is an issue? Bizarre. He covers endless ground and is hugely influential. Of course the clamour is on for Torp now based on one strike. He can’t do what Eccles does. Few in our squad can.

    Victor Torp

He scored a great goal today. But where does he fit in? He isn’t quick enough for midfield. Not nimble enough. He may be consigned to being a sub player who can pick a pass or score when we’re dominating.

Dont want to be that guy

Away point always looks better after a home win doesn’t it. Building blocks, building blocks……….

WRIGHT and SIMMS through the middle

They looked a handful today. Although I don’t think Wright played through the middle. Rudoni was sticking some great balls in. I’d still like to see either of them attacking them a bit more aggressively.

    Robins Out Poll pt3

Does it work the other way? If some were saying Luton was a must win game is the ridiculous speculation over now?

Also thought Van Ewijk had a lot more about him today.

Sheaf getting near to 100% makes a huge difference to us.

Didn’t Smith play on the right? It was normally Nick Pickering in front of Downs.

Not saying Kitching is any world beater. But he’s better defensively than Binks

Did you see their second goal. Don’t let him carrying the ball forward twice near the end fool you - defensively he’s awful. Which is a bit of a problem for a defender.

    Time's Up

Yes, and his set piece delivery is probably worth 10 goals a season

    I’d go 7’s except: Binks : 5. Defensive liability Sheaf : 8 Quality Wright : 8 Real handful Rudoni : 8 Impact.

Puts to bed the debate about Wright - he’s by far our most talented forward. The difference in the game was that our 3 really good quality players had good games Wright, Sheaf and Rudoni.

We made hard work of that but did deserve it. We’re just far too easy to score against. The game was changed by Rudoni’s overall contribution and play. Thought Wright and Sheaf were excellent. Surely Binks future game time should be limited. Anyway, a win.

Our chances haven’t been clear cut though. Situations and scrambles. It’s the defence that’s the issue. We don’t do absolute basics. Too busy worrying about whether they can pass to each other for 80 minutes rather than the basics of defending.

You don’t get many clean sheets with Binks in. Embarrassing defending

    Our squad

The kit man has been ok though.

    Bobby Thomas

Depends what you want from a defender. Binks defensively is not good at all. In fact a left flank of him and Dasilva is a dream come true for the opposition. Kitching is a better defender and can pick the odd good pass. On balance I’d prefer Kitching. Thomas and Kitching for me. Lati has played...
