Just trying to establish how we’ve become so certain about what we’re paying him - you said it was court documents, turns out it was nothing of the sort. But well done for establishing what his wages were five years ago!
Court documents from his Chelsea days aside, the numbers are all over the place - we never usually give them credence. The only reason to take them as gospel is so we can stick the boot in on Palmer.
I don’t even rate him anyway, not sure why I’m going to the mat on this one.
Bobby Thomas looking to the dugout every time he goes to make a clearance, waiting to get the thumbs up of approval from Dennis Lawrence before he actually kicks it
Don’t see it personally.
I doubt we’re stuck with him - we already know for a fact that at least one other manager rates him highly enough to select him. If we need to move him along then we will.
Was he just the defensive coach?
I find it hard to believe that any one coach’s impact would be so great that a team would completely implode as soon as they left the building.
“£1.2 million is around £1 million?” Really?
For someone who’s usually very sceptical on wage numbers when they’re reported, you’re suddenly very trusting in Somerset’s answer to Andy Turner.
Unfortunately that only turns up info about his salary at Chelsea. Is there another court case that uncovered his Bristol City salary that you were referring to?
While I appreciate you actually providing the receipts, if he went from making £110k a month with Chelsea, to £1 million a year with us, then that’s considerably less, yes. (It’s also less than £20k a week)
