    Refugees welcome?

No refugees. This is not a European problem, although it has been turned into one by picking them up in the Med and dumping them in Greece- the EU country least able to deal with it. They should have been towed back to north Africa from the beginning- dumping them in Greece/Italy is merely...

    Crewe - Guess the attendance

I think the actual attendance will be 13,750 but the club will lie for tax purposes and say 10,250.

    New match report

I really appreciate the attempt at a write-up. I used to look forward to those !just got back" posts thst nobody seems to do anymore that include observations on the place, fights, stewards, no of SBA etc., as I can't always get to games myself. If 87mint is considering becoming a professional...

Pre season Tour......of Ireland (or just Dublin)

Shelbourne's ground about a 25 minute walk from where I work. Tallaght Stadium for Shamrock Rovers is on the Luas red line from central Dublin. It'd be great.

    England v Ireland

Was thinking about taking the family to that, but it would have been over 200 yoyos. Greedy baststards. Looks like there was 10,000 empty seats anyway. Glad I didn't go.

    Well done CCFC

Didn't manage to make it over finally for yesterday's game, but think the kids for a quid idea is definitely a good one as I wouldn't bother taking them otherwise- for what has been fairly dubious entertainment on occasion- £25 for four of us is good value, £55 not quite so much.

This made me smile as I was there! better times

I was at that game in the West End and the video posted earlier is the first time I have actually seen any of the goals or the game as I just spent the whole time being swept up and down the terrace by the crowd and couldn't see a thing. God what a night. I remember having just lit a fag and one...

Anyone now thinking of jacking the whole thing in?

I was over for the Crawley and Crewe games, and to me the club has an awful feel of decline about it. The Crawley game in particular- played in front of the smallest home gate in living memory (?) was just not fun- I actually enjoy going to work more. Crewe away was also tedious, and I find it...

    Why our crowds are awful

I'll be going up the Crawley game next week- first game since the big move back as I couldn't get to the others. I do so with mixed feelings- TBH I'm only going out of some perverted sense of duty as the footie has been tedious for years now. Also paying £22 quid to sit mute in a cavernous 2/3...

Slow news day...Let me kick this off....

I remember Robert Rosario and Lee Hurst shining briefly in a home game against Villa one Christmas- maybe 92/93? which we won 3-0 (including one by "Rosy"). May have been the same Crimbo we hammered Liverpool 5-1 the week before. Rosario took ages to find his feet, played well for a short time...
