Match Thread ⚽️ Coventry City vs Sunderland Match Thread - Saturday 25th Feb

I was being a bit tongue in cheek. To be honest every Friday feels like Christmas Eve when we're playing Saturday. Just a touch more anticipation with this one. Luton was more Xmas 1985 when I was getting a Mr Frosty. Tomorrow is more 1986 when I was in for a commodore 64.

Match Thread ⚽️ Coventry City vs Sunderland Match Thread - Saturday 25th Feb

Fans of some clubs develop a dislike for each other, and sometimes when it's not entirely rational. No issue with this game having an edge. All good fun as long as it doesn't spill over. The nonsense that lot spew, the abuse they aim at our club and city, all the Luftwaffe references, the...

Absolutely this. It's like Christmas Eve for me today.

I was being a bit dramatic there tbf. Don't mind enforcement where it makes sense, but I like things to make sense, and the exclusion zone needs to be completely rethought.

I don't recall WBA being that good, just an average home turn out. Midweek, week before Xmas, Cat A etc. Sales look ok for Saturday, but some way behind Cardiff and QPR which are biggest turns outs so far this season.

Those blocks sell out for every game pretty much, although always loads of empty seats on the day, not sure why.

And there are additional areas to the north under Nuneaton and Bedworth. It's huge.

It's enormous and completely illogical (it is a 2 mile exclusion zone). Apparently though, we should all be slaves to the system and not question this because it's "ze law". And if you do it's "yeah but wot about bedlam lane". From Bedlam Lane you can see the ground ffs - of course you should...

I'm simply saying this was about making money, which it was. They were ticketing cars on Ash Green Lane. They never do that for the football, ever. I know, it's where I live. It's a 20 min walk minimum from the ground and there were no issues or obstructions. There were very few cars anyway and...

These were likely first time visitors who were not aware of restrictions parking on semi-deserted residential streets not causing any obstruction. This was a cash grab pure and simple. Some tickets were on cars 3/4 of a mile from the ground. The parking restrictions are excessive and illogical.

Record revenues for the council too. Missus just walked back from the game and there was a ticket on just about every car she saw. Vultures.

    Wasps signs have actually gone!!

It's a completely made up attendance tbh. Can't even be explained by some ticket holders not turning up as there were parts of the ground that were just empty.

    Home v Sunderland 12.30, Sky, £33 a ticket

You can barely buy a ticket in the east stand, there are virtually no tickets available to buy in the west stand either, and that leaves the north stand which is mostly empty. Where are they all hiding 😂

    Home v Sunderland 12.30, Sky, £33 a ticket

Wrexham scored 4 times and I didn't see evidence of a single supporter in our end. Why would they try their luck? It's £34, an early kick off and on TV and they'd have to sit on their hands all game. No evidence of them buying tickets in the home end at other grounds where they sell out. Just...

    Home v Sunderland 12.30, Sky, £33 a ticket

There will be as many in the home end as there will City in the Rotherham end tomorrow (we sold out ages ago after all). In other words, none.

    Home v Sunderland 12.30, Sky, £33 a ticket

People actually defending £34 a ticket for a televised mid-table clash in the 2nd division. Game is lost.

    Home v Sunderland 12.30, Sky, £33 a ticket

Our Cat A prices are completely out of sync with the rest of the league. Only Sheff Utd get close. The cheapest ticket in the ground is £34 (the £1 booking fee is compulsory). That's insane.

    Reasons you miss games

People have valid reasons for not going of course, but don't understand local supporters who swerve games, Saturday games specifically, because they don't fancy it. I live for Saturday home games. The way I see it, we only get about 16 of them a year. In a few years I'll be dead. I'm going to...

    Doug King Takeover

What is it with these flat-earthers and their inability to come to terms with the fact that someone has just bought a football club? That's all that's happened here - 'Man Buys Football Club'. The end. There's no conspiracy.
