To those who want Robins gone now

Exactly, the league is a marathon, not a sprint and there’s been plenty of examples of teams starting slowly and peaking towards the end of the season. Just look 2022/23 where us v Middlesborough was a 23rd v 24th clash in Sept/Oct and we were both in the playoff semi finals.

To those who want Robins gone now

The trends over the last 7 years with MR haven’t changed. It’s been a slow start every season barring the 2nd Championship season where we won the first 6 home games. People also forget that the same questions being asked of MR were asked when Viveash came to the club to replace Robin’s long...

To those who want Robins gone now

I’d just like to remind the forum that the year we won L1, many people were criticising the style of play and teetering on the ‘Robins Out’ camp. Whenever we talk about that season now, those same people talk about how well we started that season. It’s 6 games into the league season and whilst...

    Robins will carry the can

The team isn’t good enough for promotion, the midfield and defence is particularly off the pace. The team should be good enough for top 6.

    Robins will carry the can

We’re still only 6 games in - the obvious issues are there and they probably don’t have an overnight fix. This panicking and writing off the players and MR is becoming an annual event now.

Hahaha Nick, always one for the dramatics!

    Leaders

Yeah… you can see on social media and even the lads I go with, too moaning at certain players. We’re still 6 games in. Disappointing start, of course but not really indicative of how the season will go (just yet).

    Leaders

Tactically we’re not all over the place. There’s just a lack of general bravery in possession. Soft defensively, safe in possession and a young team finding their feet still. There’s a need for leaders in the group, absolutely! Still, it’s early in the season… there’s no need to shit the bed.

    Robins had zero clue

A lot of hot headed takes at the minute and suspect this thread will be bumped in a few months when we pick up our form.

What’s with the trend of ….

Have you ever actually tried to politely ask someone to move slightly or even swap seats /vantage point? I’m quite tall and try to mindful if I’m in people’s way but unfortunately, there’s no eyes in the back of my head to always notice if I’m in the way.

What’s with the trend of ….

It always is a free-for-all at away games. People not being able to buy with friends outside of points bands is possibly exacerbating the issue because you’ll have big groups people going to matches together but dotted over the place. Watford and Stoke away I’ve been consigned to the stairwell...

    Spurs Tickets

Definitely. I understand that family costs are combined, but we’re not a Mickey Mouse club that needs to do kids for a quid to get people through the door. Regularly in this thread people talk about ‘added costs’ like food and drink at the stadium. That irritates me because that is a...

    Spurs Tickets

It’s a midweek cup game that no one really cares about. It’s why it’s so important FA Cup ties are played on Saturdays, otherwise it kills the atmosphere. Looking at the Swansea game prices, £30 for an adult and £15 for U18s - it was an uproar over £5 extra for a kids ticket.

Agreed, looked good last night and against Watford with some impressive stats in interceptions so far. It’s routine for us Cov fans to panic early in the season when we’ve been slow starters in almost every season in MRs 2nd tenure. It was only our 2nd season back in Championship where we...

Fantastic ball, but as the statistics show, pass completion % is a lot lower than you’d want. He is improving and trying to get better in that facet of the game because he’s tried that kind of pass several times this season and most have gone wayward. It’s a difficult skill to master so it’s not...

    Ben Wilson - well done!

Made some good saves last night and performed v well. It is, and always has been, his distribution that lets him down.

    Transfer Rumour Brandon Thomas-Asante

It’s easy to see why we signed him even though it was a strange signing at the time. He gave a good account of himself but he is very raw as a player - just as Vik was when he first joined.

    Transfer Rumour Brandon Thomas-Asante

I like him too, he does have a tendency to overplay at times and defensively looks a bit out of place playing RW. Overall, he’s a good player and will do well for us. If we can replicate the depth we in our forward department elsewhere, we would be unstoppable in this league.

Match Thread Coventry City - Tottenham Hotspur [LC] Match Thread - Wednesday 18th Sep

Just got home from my drive home and honestly, really enjoyed the game tonight! Was disappointed with the result and the manner of it. The bigger picture was that there was so many positive performances against a good Prem team. Bassette was impressive, the first impressions is to draw...

    Surely fucking not

Sheaf didn’t look 100% this evening and you’re quite right that the pass to Torp was a poor choice.
