See above. He wouldn't as even when receiving or carrying the ball in or around the oppositions half he would regularly opt for the safer option rather than cross or attempt a take-on. To blame that solely on Hyam is massively far-fetched.

    Sam McCallum

It isn't at all as he did it regularly even when he was further up the pitch. Granted, that probably didn't help at times but it isn't the sole reason behind why he didn't/couldn't get forward or take players on.

Not sure I agree. He would rarely look to get forward and instead opt for a reverse back pass or square it. He's not particularly quick and is often reluctant to take players on. His crossing was also highly suspect.

He practically won the YPOTY by default so I wouldn't read to much into it. With 19 apps he was the leading appearance holder of any player aged 21 or under within the squad.

    Gyökeres Bids

Exactly. At least they're in the drivers seat in this window. Going into the new season with Gyokeres seemingly being uninterested about signing a new contract very much takes the ball out of the club's court with regards to future negotiations. There's also the added uncertainty of him...

    Gyökeres Bids

It wouldn't really be all that surprising. The club's valuation of Gyokeres will differ wildly from the majority of the fanbase's. Them receiving bids of anything between £8-10m for Gyokeres would likely be considered as a fair offer given what he was brought for.

    First Day of Preseason

When in reality it'll just turn out to be Ryan Howley with his first ever beard.

    Transfer Shouts

Hardly much of an achievement given the average age of QPR's squad.

    Statue for George and John

It's utter rubbish he wasn't frozen out at all.

    Gyökeres Bids

SISU are no more difficult than other Championship owners. If fact they're probably far easier to work under - as shown by the fact they allow Robins free reign to operate as he pleases. Few managers have that luxury.

I hope to god you don't run a business.

    Transfer Shouts

As previously shown with Kelly, Allen, Godden that isn't the case. But hopefully with them having more in available funds, the club won't feel so inclined to retain players that have zero sell-on value.

    Transfer Shouts

Hull City have put a bid in of £3m for Scott Twine. Strong statement of intent from them.

    Transfer Shouts

Some interesting thoughts. I think there are more costs to be considered - and I doubt Robins would be given up to 75 per cent of a sale but it's something the club could at least consider for the short term at the very least.
  15. K

    Transfer Shouts

I think that's a bit unfair. He's been pretty unfortunate. Showed some initial promising signs but then caught Covid, suffered injuries then when he was returned his place was lost to an in-form Godden.

    Transfer Shouts

Personally, with how we operate - i.e. SISU's only form of investment being short-term high-interest loans - I think our wage bill can realistically only be constructed mainly from consistent sources of income. E.g. Commercial and ticketing revenue, TV money, F&B and sponsorship. If we get...

    Transfer Shouts

It's not particularly in the medium term. As you're relying on consistent sales to fund that. What happens if O'Hare or Hamer suffer either a massive drop-off in form or perhaps more likely suffer serious injuries ultimately affecting their value? There's no guarantee the players brought in on...

    Transfer Shouts

Oh apologies I thought you meant over the coming years - meaning we'd essentially have to be relying on significant player sales season after season in order to sustain the continuous hikes. One bad window would essentially cripple the club.

    Transfer Shouts

Transfer fees received are unlikely going to enhance our ability to increase our wage bill, not significantly anyway. As that's completely unsustainable and one sure way for the club to bankrupt itself.
