Right who's the next manager then?

Didn’t we nearly sign Van Nistelrooy before he went to United?

A Turk with some dinghies has been arrested. Not a silver bullet according to Sir Keir. How many are waiting in line to take up the market opportunity created? It is demand that needs addressing, not supply.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Correct. Graduates need to be applying for jobs which pay more than minimum wage. See the post immediately before yours. That's assuming there are loads of jobs where a BA in Taylor Swift lyrics are an essential requirement.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

From the article dated 1/8/24 I posted earlier Graduates overtake those who chose not to go university within just a few years, earning at least 20% more once they are in their mid-20s. By age 31, graduates typically earn 37% more, and the gap is slightly higher (38%) for those from...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I’m really not sure what graduates are complaining about. The analysis by Universities UK of data that tracks earnings from the age of 17 to 31 shows most graduates rapidly catch-up with and overtake non-graduates, despite having fewer years in the labour market, and this difference is...

If they are being treated by a private company, in private facilities by private doctors and with private waiting times all not freely available to the British taxpayer - that is five star treatment compared to the NHS.

It pisses me off that when you are entitled to an NHS service which either isn’t available locally or has ridiculously long waits, to get timely treatment you have to pay the entire cost of private provision yourself. The NHS price should be reclaimable.

    Homebase

You used to be able to buy some simple and basic stuff quite cheap in Homebase and B&Q, but then they seemed to stop stocking that and it all became more expensive and they “diversified”. There really seems little excuse for a packet of screws or a light switch being twice as expensive as at...

    Homebase

It’s so much cheaper to buy stuff from Screwfix (or, sadly, Amazon if we can wait a whole 24 hrs). I read somewhere that Homebase cocked up several times, like over winter by not stocking enough heaters. Also, The Range may be buying quite a lot of the stores. So many of these household names...

Whether or not you have exercised a choice is not the definition of private health care. You could choose to have your treatment at George Eliot rather than UHCW - doesn’t make GE a private hospital.
