Detsi Kruzynski. Damn and blast. The purple filter on the photo fooled me. I guessed at some one else but knew it wasn’t him.
In unrelated news- has anyone else noticed what a good managerial career Philippe Clement has gone on to have?
Thanks to Grendel for the quiz. Was good fun although I...
That’s not true. The green pitch wasn’t introduced to the badge until the late ‘90s (Le coq shirts iirc). The current badge is v similar to the Wembley 1987 one.
He had fallen out with manager Hollins.
Chelsea were shite - finished 4th bottom in 1987-88.
We weren’t. In fact we were Cup holders.
We were shopping at Harrods not Woolworths apparently.
But can’t you see it’s a really curious instinct when presented with this example to say “but if it was three black blokes abusing a white player it wouldn’t even be on the news”?
1) it wasn’t.
2) I suspect it would be news.
3) if you must persist with this confection, can’t we agree they...
Quite a bizarre scenario you paint. A white footballer being abused by 3 non-white fans. I’m curious as to why you even think it’s necessary to construct this fictional account of player abuse unless it is to dilute the accusations of racism from these white fans towards Sterling...

Aha. Can’t make head nor tail....

It might be because there is a live EFL game on the tv at the same time. Ipswich-WestBrom and the blackout principle might apply. Makes little sense to me but that’s the only reason I can think of.
Haven’t we talked about Callum Wilson both moving on from Bournemouth and getting an England call up for about 6 transfer windows now? I’m not convinced either is going to happen.
1) his record at AFCB is excellent but he’s known to be injury prone. Can’t see a top six side signing him and...
Not as big a blunder as lining up Andy Blair (against whom I have nothing) as the guest of honour and thus co-commentator on CWR on Saturday. With the best will in the world he was going to find it hard to be what we need from the summariser.
Too often it feels to me that Clive wants the...
