    Was anything thrown today ?

One person threw a smoke bomb and it landed on the edge of the pitch. If home supporters around the country were to wet the bed everytime an away fan released a smoke bomb, and demanded reduced allocations because of it, away ends would be empty. Don't care for them myself, too busy going...

    O'Hare bids

But the evidence is that they are buying tickets. If we have a good season (big if), there is every chance we can exceed the 21K average in 2006 and it would then be the highest since the late 70s. Put that into context, we could this season see our best attendance average in nearly 50 years -...

    O'Hare bids

That's bizarre. Lived here most of my life and I don't know any United or Liverpool fans, although I tend to stay off facebook. A few years ago I was on the road a lot with my job. The Coventry office was full of Cov fans, plus a few randoms, one or two Leeds fans actually. The other offices...

    O'Hare bids

This is so true. Watched my daughter's training this morning (under 14s), and of the 12 replica shirts being worn, nine were City tops.

    O'Hare bids

Population of NE England is around 2.7 million. You have 4 clubs, Newcastle, Sunderland, Boro and Hartlepool. Population of West Mids about 2.9 million and you have Villa, Albion, Wolves, Birmingham City, Coventry and Walsall. There are more non-league clubs down here too, plus a more...

    O'Hare bids

Seriously? We're surrounded by clubs. I've seen people use the city/population thing to suggest we should be much better supported than Middlesbrough. But Middlesbrough has a bigger urban area and much bigger wider catchment area with very few clubs to compete with. Our crowds are entirely...

    O'Hare bids

It means nothing. Nottingham is by far bigger the bigger place - nearly double the size. It is next level stupidity to not see that and use it as a stick to beat our fanbase with.

    O'Hare bids

Yep. Burnley have never had a higher average gate than us when we've played at the same level.

    O'Hare bids

Coventry is not the 10th biggest city in the country, why do people always say that? City populations are meaningless when assessing the size of a 'place' - like the City Ground Nottingham, not being in the City of Nottingham despite being a 10 minute walk from the City centre. If you want to...

    O'Hare bids

Where does all this knowledge of 'younger generations' come from? I work with a couple of lads in their early 20s (not from cov) and they are not nearly as ignorant as you think. This is a generation that by 6pm tonight will know the numbers of away fans that every traveling club in the FL took...

    CBS issues

Doubt it, they've taken about 10 rows of seats off sale for Rotherham game.

    New train strike announced

Hope so. Without trains the whole thing becomes a nightmare. Went on coach last season and it was awful, vowed never to do that again.

SAFC Fan In Peace - Can I just be the first to say....

There is no rivalry of course, but the fixture has a bit of an edge now. Nowt wrong with that, as long as it doesn't spill over into silliness, let's not get wet about it. In true KK style, I would love it tomorrow. I'm perfectly aware that a few people making jokes about Hitler and the blitz...

    Rotherham attendance

If Rotherham sell their 2k, we're already at 18K for this game 8 days out. Predictions of 'no more than 19K' are a bit baffling. Club are expecting 22-23K, but tomorrow will have a bearing for sure.

    Season tickets

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but blocks 14,15 and 16 (left of new fence) have a different style season ticket to rest of ground branded 'singers corner'. Guess makes it easier to identify when checking. Real pity that there will be so many empty seats there this season.

    Sunderland tickets

Missus was there this morning getting a ST for someone, and it took an hour for her to get through security - was left waiting for ages with nobody there seeming to be in charge or able to make a decision. That said, when she did make it through she was told the extra Sunderland tickets hadn't...

7am, bit risky that, catch some of the shite holiday season traffic on the A1 and it's not leaving a lot of spare time. even club travel leaving earlier.

    Sunderland tickets

Not really, they say no alcohol and most people abide by that, but a few don't and it's no drama. They might enforce it a bit more for this game though, expect the police up there to be aresholes.

    Sunderland tickets

The time they publish is usually 30 mins-1 hour before coach leaves, so 5.30am for breakfast and then on the way at 6.30am. Might be worth rocking up at 5 and beating the rush though.
