    The ideal new manager...

I like the person spec and suggested managers - are they available / would they come? Peter Taylor - not the one with cloughie?

    The ideal new manager...

Right about the atmosphere at rovers...though still in discussion about whether I'll be excused out of a family do for this game.... It is more like HR but without our concrete kop circa 80s (when I started going!). New manager by then - not if some on here are to be believed, who seem to think...

    The ideal new manager...

Yes, I'd support Roy (or big Sam). Going to like your comment for at least replying... I think my opening comment was perhaps a bit long-winded. Might require a few more swear words too!

    The ideal new manager...

Firstly, whilst we may disagree on the best ccfc manager (partly due to age) and whether they could cope with the modern game / life in league one / present owners/squad... (I think Bobby Gould would do well, I'm sure my dad would say the great JH). Every sky blue fan now wants an experienced...

True, not even close. Tap lover Pat lover (for young fans of the postman).

Typical reply from a north country boy. Surely we should all be happy together as love is the key?

I'll tune in - not sure how many others are up at the moment, with all the joy from beating Oxford...

    Business as Usual

Butcher gets my vote - probably due to the transfer fee, lack of games ... And being crap!

    Where will we finish?

I wonder if we will still be in Cov then - renting from Wasps? We might have saved enough for our own ground... Prediction - realistically, 9th, but still hoping for an unbeaten run from September through until April and finishing first!

Me too, thought it was a typo from someone earlier and we were getting a Russian rather than the Finnish lad from a few weeks ago!

    Adam Armstrong

I was feeling a bit like that - but I just realised I coach my son's under 7 team in Somerset... I just heard our keeper (4ft) has been snapped up by Barca for £2 mn. Can't tell you the source but he has been to Spain on holiday in the 90s.

Match Thread Norwich v Coventry Match Thread - Tuesday 23rd Aug

That is good to hear. Whilst some slated him, I think he was effective for us, given he was a young lad in his first full year of professional football. I hope he does well (and Madison), even if it isn't for the best sides in the champions league.

    food again

Purity ale is great. Took my grandad around the brewery tour last summer, (Warwickshire brewery) - well worth the effort!

How about LAST - Let's all sing together and LA? (I do know I've nicked the name from elsewhere!).

True - though I'm sure it is happening to other clubs too. Would be hilarious if either the pogba or stones transfer rumours had begun in a pub (or bedroom of a wum ) and no truth in them... though unlikely. I must have a look back a few months ago when someone else asked what a wum is / stands...

We've bean going through the old jokes.... Winter will give us a frozen bean and summer will be a baked bean.

He looked wobbly when playing on the wing - a jelly bean. His dad is called Pierre - French bean. Puts on a few pounds - broad bean. Plays for our reserves - (second) string bean. I'll follow 'sky blues' and "get my coat too!"

Toby Fare? Obviously a spelling mistake - Toby Fayre, it is a Sunday carvery? Is Mickie Quinn coming back?
