    QPR away

Prices are no worse that what we charged Forest the other week. A dad and his young kid would have paid £50 at the CBS; at QPR in the lower tier it is as low as £28 because under 8s are free. A bit pot and kettle if you ask me.

    QPR away

I think this will sell quickly, possibly even on day 1 now that they have made it 2 per ST holder. Just based on conversations and the amount of people planning to go. Saturday away days in London always popular. Was the last one Charlton of Riverboat fame? About 2800 there that day I think.

    Crowd v Reading

It perhaps did at that point because the season prior to that we were getting some truly horrific gates - down as low as 7000 iirc, so I did understand the thinking then, but even on a bad day this season we're unlikely to dip below 15K. Certainly makes no sense now. I do think the club should...

But there'll also be a much bigger walk up this weekend than we had against Forest. I wouldn't be surprised if the game attracted similar numbers.

    Crowd v Reading

Makes no sense. Where would you have put them against Forest? It would've needed to open anyway. It also helps the atmosphere to have fans around the entire bowl. In the League One days when it was closed, even when the turnout was good, the atmosphere in blocks 22-24 was dreadful because there...

    Crowd v Reading

It's mad. The East Stand was full for Forest. Do they want the people behind the goal to sit on laps? Leave it open. People forget that for most of our time at the Ricoh it has been open and the middle blocks were always popular. Just about changing habits. Not sure why people are so bothered...

    Crowd v Reading

The mystery regarding behind the goal isn't really a mystery at all. It's largely down to a lack of season ticket holders there. It wasn't open during phase 1 of sales, so 80% of people had already purchased before it was opened, and then couldn't be arsed to move, especially when they can see...

    SISU In or out?

You mean they are arms length owners that allow the club to run itself and live within its means? Take away the history (hard I know), but isn't that the model that all clubs should follow? What do you want them to do, throw money at a new Operation Premiership? That would be madness...

Match Thread Barnsley Away Match Thread

At some point people are just going to have to get their head around the fact that some people are like this and they now have a public platform. In the real world, the team were given a great ovation as they left the pitch and even on social media the vast majority of the comments I read were...

    Barnsley THIS Saturday

Serious structural issues in one of the stands I was told.

    Barnsley THIS Saturday

Game was very nearly called off. Police didn't want it to go ahead. Serious safety concerns apparently. This is some sort of compromise. I'm sure people will call bullshit, but this came from somebody senior at Barnsley. They hadn't even told CCFC the game was in doubt.

Just got tickets. You consider not going to games like this, but then what else is there to do on a Wednesday night in Ash Green? Couple of beers before the game, watch the city and laugh at some giddy teenagers from Northampton giving it large on their big night out. Lovely stuff.

    Barnsley

He is right though. Easily walkable from the town centre. Loads of pubs. Went into town for the cup tie a few years and had a great day. Can't remember the names of the pubs, I was pissed, but Barnsley is one of the better away days in this league if you're going by train and fancy a few...

    New supporters club near town?

Dhillons by the ground was a big success too, some teething issues and I know the queues were crazy, but apparently they're going to open 2 extra bars for the next game. Good to have these options now.

    Block 26 (ish) incident

Awful to hear this. The thought of his children looking on too, that's just horrible, and I so hope that he has pulled through as suggested. I remember being very close to the supporter who died at the Sheffield United cup tie (we only learned he died after the game), but I remember not being...

After the 1st game what is needed?

If you believe the attendance, there were 17,200 city fans in the ground (just saying). An why wouldn't you believe it? I'd have struggled to find more than 12,500 empty seats, but I guess a few ST holders were away. Also, the second highest Championship attendance of the weekend, for a...

Atmosphere was outstanding second half. Some mad scenes at the end. Bodies everywhere. People were even leaping over the netting from the main stand.

    Match Thread Nottingham Forest (H)

There was so much talk about how many people were going there, to only open 1 bar was a bit naive. They'll sort it for next game. Not complaining really, just feel for them a bit.

Ah man, Dhillons totally misjudged this. Insane queues. At least I can't get wankered now.
