So glad to see Hussey score!

His decision making is poor, but that is true of many young players that have come through our ranks. What separates him is poor technique and ability, he struggles to get a ball under control, against Bury and Sheffield United there were occasions when the ball would roll under his foot. I...

So glad to see Hussey score!

Probably his considerably better older brother

So glad to see Hussey score!

Crikey, was he that bad? I thought Reece Brown against Sheffield United was the worst I'd seen in a long time, would do well (or very badly) to beat that. I would add that Brown has got to be one of the worst footballers I've laid eyes on, I know he's young but I'd be surprised if he plays above...

Here we go again.... Hussey shows the finger

Not LM strictly but left of the diamond in the four games I've seen, which surely means he must help cover his left back in defensive situation?

Here we go again.... Hussey shows the finger

And he's a Coventry lad and a Coventry fan (made just over 200 appearances for the club, scoring 59 goals), top stuff Nick! On a side note, I have to confess I missed much of last season due to being away from the area studying at Uni, but what is everyone's gripe with McSheffrey? I know he can...

Ah right well fair enough then

Here we go again.... Hussey shows the finger

Without slating Kilbane too much, I think he lets Hussey down. Hussey almost occupies the left back and left midfield position by himself, and I think Kilbane often leaves him exposed. It has made Hussey's position difficult at times, and I'd wager a fair amount he covers more miles than just...

    New manager's contract

Possibly, but I don't think that's good for the club. Not putting faith in a manager can lead to a rebellious squad and could cause real problems. Also heard a rumour from a source within the game that said Didi Hamman has applied for the job! From following him on twitter and having watched...

    Brendan Rodgers

The fans are calling for Dalgish? I thought it was pretty much universal satisfaction amongst their fans when Kenny was sacked. I can't think of too many managerial stints that have been worse than Kenny's most recent at Liverpool.

    Brett Pitman

Wow, what a signing this would be! However I've seen him linked with burnley only today and with his former bournemouth manager Eddie Howe in charge at Turf Moor, it seems a more likely destination...if the player is actually available!

    Investment ?

Well in this hypothetical situation where are we in the league? Because if we're in the top 6, then he would not be sold, as promotion would come with an increased income far greater than Cody's value. If we're 15th, then clearly something won't be right and I'm sure Cody would fetch 1 million...

If anyone from CCFC reads this forum....

Still left promotion chasing Leeds for a armchair job at Newcastle, no thanks. Want an up and coming manager, who has ambition, not someone who is here to just earn a living!

The new Manager cannot be made on emotion and who's liked...

I'd add Warnock to the 'us against them' school of management. He possibly gone too far though, joined Leeds, signed Diouf, along with Michael Brown and himself it could all be too much!

The new Manager cannot be made on emotion and who's liked...

I understand what you're saying, Thorn seems like a nice bloke, but ultimately he failed. However I'm going to disagree and say football managers HAVE to be likeable (or not likeable as such but likeable to media), otherwise they won't get along with the players and coaching staff, nor will they...

    Cyrus Christie

I think we have one championship rb (Clarke) Christie isn't naturally a RB and as he gets older, and physically stronger (remember he is still just 19!) he will be a good centre half. The same can be said for Willis, but I'm sure he is younger again at like 17 maybe 18. What I will say is that...

Starting XI and subs - now we've seen everyone play?

Yeah i'm not saying we need another striker on loan? ha

    We need a new striker

Well yeah he'd be absolutely great to have back, but there's no way we'll get him back in League 1. As for Beavon, had one decent season, really not bothered by him.

    We need a new striker

Hussey is absolutely fine at left back, played well so far this season. If he gets injured Kilbane is experience in that position so I think we'll be okay, in fact I think Wood is even a decent left back as well!

    We need a new striker

eh? we're like 5 games into the season, if they're running on empty then I'm very worried. I doubt we'd get a loan striker in that's a better option that McDonald or Elliot, so whilst I think we could do with another striker I don't think we're desperate.

Starting XI and subs - now we've seen everyone play?

That's bullshit. Elliot was magnificent last night, he'll be great foil for Cody this year as well as popping up with a few himself. I don't feel we can get better on loan, maybe we can get another striker on loan, but I doubt he'll be better and warrant a starting place.
