    The Ricoh Experiance

I remember Westwood last minute penalty save..vs Ebanks-Blake as well who was top scorer at the time, live for those moments!

    TITLE ODDS -slipping a tad

I don't think we should fear anyone, and the league is there for the taking. That Sheffield United team have had a year to get used to this division and the players have been together for a longer period of time. Irrespective of our first half performance we should have taken all three points...

    The Ricoh Experiance

Thanks for sharing..I've been following City since I was a little kid (I'm now 20). One of my earliest CCFC memories was when we played Newcastle in September 1998, I'd gone for my birthday with some friends. We took a 1 nil lead through boateng, before my false optimism (an all too common a...

    Reece Brown

I think there's a decent player in there somewhere, but his decision making is poor and he had a few shocking moments. As for the terms of the loan deal, not a chance in hell is that true!

    jordan clarke

I'm fairly certain it's a day trip, as the photo in question is of Brighton pier, not their training ground!

    Malaga

I doubt we've promised it, and even if we have we don't have to play him. I'd imagine it's to maintain good relations with United for future loan deals

    Formation concerns

This is exactly what Barcelona do. They coach every side at every age group the same style of football. For example, when they lose the ball for 5 seconds each Barce player chase the opposition and try to win the ball back quickly. If they do not succeed then they sit off a little and regain...

    Formation concerns

Nice attempt to mock, but evidently you haven't read the thread. Modern football is very narrow, relying on quick pass and move, occupied by players like silva, kagawa, ozil and the diamond formation would fit into that category. My point is that I don't think it works at this level of football.

    Zinedine Kilbane..

Spot on. His movement is non-existent, there were many occasions where Hussey would come forward with the ball and he would just stand there inside of him showing for the ball when he should've made the run outside, where the space was. I add not many 35 year olds have the stamina to play more...

    Higher or lower

Agreed, but saturday games are far more accessible to fans

    Formation concerns

Yeah completely agree that modern day football has to be played in this way, but at this level I think it needs to be far more simple. Pacey wingers, overlapping full backs, big man up front, small poacher up front, holding midfielder and a creative midfielder!

    Higher or lower

definitely higher, midweek attendance is always lower

    player ratings for tonight

Murphy - 6 - Nothing of note, couldn't do much about the goal, but otherwise fine. Brown - 4 - Very poor first half, but lacked confidence. Better second, but made some bad decisions in the game. However there were some glimpses of a good player there. Malaga - 7 - If you consider it was his...

    Formation concerns

I guess Hussey and Christie could work then. Big fan of Jordan Clarke and rate him above Christie, but if we're looking for attacking fullbacks I think the latter could offer more.

    So let's have your MOtM

Couldn't agree more, but it wasn't the tackling that impressed me so much, because from what I'd heard about him I sort of, expected it. What really impressed me was his ability on the ball, he always kept possession and just does the simple things brilliantly. At times he passed backwards...

    Formation concerns

For me, the diamond formation doesn't work at this level. It's modern day football tactics, which concentrates on narrow play, incorporating clever intricate passes and movement. Similar tactics are employed by the likes of Man City and Arsenal, and in my opinion Thorn is trying to be too...

    CWR tonight

Christ it was embarrassing to listen to that Ricky bloke. I'd like to see him sterilised for the good of society.

    So let's have your MOtM

Wood, followed by Jennings, followed by Barton. Wood was superb, made countless tackles and defensive headers. Jennings was also class, rarely lost possession, and his work rate is unbelievable! Barton looks technically very good, and baring in mind he is young looks like a great purchase...

    Baker

How can anyone say Baker played well, he was completely anonymous! When in possession he lingered and was eventually muscled off it. Jennings and Barton were very good in midfield, but Baker and Kilbane were poor.

    Malaga

As for Malaga, looks decent, confident on the ball and looks to keep possession which I like. However lacks a bit of strength and pace, but overall good debut!
