Nice to know Pressley will celebrate!

I think Pressley has done OK, but no more. He has not done well with his signings, and in fact has signed lots of rubbish. He started the season well and hit the ground running, but has not coped well with what has happened since New Year. 2 'home' wins in 2014 shows the problem. This...

Worrying form - on results since new year we would be bottom of the league

Could it be that bad? We knew in August that season that we were going down. Only a deluded optimist thought we would survive. So if we are that uncompetitive we will probably know at the start of the season that we are in deep shit.

    Avfc & bcfc

Aston Villa are getting like we were in just about dodging relegation every season. Eventually, though, you run out of rubbish teams to finish above. I suppose they will change the manager in the summer, but it will get them in the end, just like it did in 1987.

    Misguided/wasted effort

Another non-story! Why would a club open a stand for a handful of people? Even at HR and the Ricoh they didn't open all the stands when a small attendance was expected. That applies to just about every game at Northampton. These wasters are a joke. Surely they can think of better things...

    Fisher has spoken

Sorry, but I just don't buy it. Loyalty is for fans. Players may claim to be fans, but in reality it is their career and they need to make what they can while they can. He will be retired in 10-12 years, or a lot sooner if he were to get unlucky with injuries. He will be no different from...

50 years ago today, we were champions.

No, he wasn't. He played all of 64/5 and most of 65/6. He played about another 70 games, scoring at a rate of about 1 goal per 2 games. I was in the old Covered End for that Colchester game 50 years ago, aged only 10. It was so exciting for all us kids in those days, every home game was a...

    Fisher has spoken

I don't see there is any way we will keep Wilson this summer. No doubt he will want to go to a better club (which is just about anywhere) and double/triple his wages. He has had one good season, and if he were to have a less impressive season here his stock would fall. His agent will have...

Ex-councillor Brian Patton to stand v Ann Lucas on Get Cov Back to the Ricoh platform

I think it is far more important to stick to your principles and beliefs that align yourself to a particular party. That may not be possible in national politics but it certainly is for councillors. Some councils have plenty of independents, although not so common in the big cities. No doubt...

Ex-councillor Brian Patton to stand v Ann Lucas on Get Cov Back to the Ricoh platform

I knew Brian Patton years ago and he was a very sound bloke. He played for the football team I used to manage and I made him captain because, although he wasn't the best player in the team, he was the best for the job, reliable and straight up. Not seen him for years but good luck to him.

Top snooker event coming to the Ricoh

At the snooker at least they will be wearing clothes, I suppose.

Has it really come to this?

I thought the tits, dicks and arses were all at Sixfields.....

    Dele Adebola CCFC

Adebola was a hard-working journeyman who had the occasional good game. Most of the time he was quite ordinary. Nice bloke, apparently, and glad to see him still playing, albeit at a pretty low level. I have to say too that it shows how much our club has diminished when younger fans are...

    Blackpool - Burnley

It would be good to see that sort of protest at Sixfields against what is happening to our club, preferably for the Wolves game. But it won't happen, of course. The ones that go are clearly willing to accept whatever the club subject them to, without any protest or complaint. No wonder so...

Letter from the club (well Otium Entertainment Group Ltd) thanking me for my support.

He had to buy 2 because of the size of his arse. Over the season he has eaten so many pies at Sixfields, hoping that Sisu get the proceeds, that it has expanded to need 3 seats next season.

Late Kick Off Feature on CCFC fans

Not as dubious as that Walsall fan though. Not somebody you'd leave your kids with!;)

    Coventry City: Why?

The Premier League is fine for football - if you happen to be in it. It's like an old boys' club now, and the rest of the professional game diminishes by the year. As Cheshire rightly says, the incompetent and useless governance of the game has simply allowed this to happen without a whimper...

    MK Dons Match Thread

Not their fault, to be fair. Came up as a correction on Sky. His 'goal' came on screen at the same time as 2 ex-city, Freddie Sears and Johnson Clarke Harris.

    Good old callum

He may be saying all the right things. But, as I always say, loyalty is for fans. Players are individuals and are looking to further their own careers. The smart ones recognise their opportunities and take them, because they may not come along again. Leon Clarke clearly realised this which is...

    Good old callum

Winning player of the month is just another indication that he will be off in the summer. He is the main asset in the squad, but he has only been scoring for this one season. If he stays he could suffer from '2nd season syndrome' and his reputation suffer. I have no doubt that the club will...

Free Season Tickets for Under 12s

There may be a very small number who cannot get there. But that was also the case at the Ricoh where access was difficult for many people. It's not the issue any more. My point is that the crowds will not increase whatever they do for as long as we remain at Northampton. I think they do...
