    Two horse race

I'm finding this very amusing. I know a local lad called Liam Devine and it's hardly a common name. Seems someone's taking the piss! I'm pretty sure there's no such manager...

    Dennis Wise

This is true. Also, not many managers may have wanted it last season as SISU made it a farce - but being the big boys in L1, and SISU actually allowing signings, makes us fairly attractive.

    INCE interviewed?

I think we need a tactically astute Manager who will also get the players to 'man up'. We have possibly the most talented players in the league - we just need to get the best out of them.

Why I like the diamond and how it suits us.

Yeah, but then Fleck has to be pushed into a position he doesn't suit - or like. For me everything needs building around Fleck.

Why I like the diamond and how it suits us.

I love the diamond when attacking - and it definitely suits our players, but as you say it is fragile when things break down. Then again - we usually take the lead, so could start with a diamond and then change formation to protect the scoreline.

    Dennis Wise

Wise was successful in all of his managerial jobs - with AND without Poyet.

Haha, is this Fisher's assessment of Ince after interviewing him in his 8am meeting this morning? "I liked him; black and wise"

Fisher on cwr at 8am again

Keep me posted on what transpires on CWR this morning. I've got a golf tournament at 8:00, been paired with a 'T. Fisher'

The Daily Star claiming Kevin Blackwell will get the job - please God no! This is why we need to make ourselves heard - SISU are idiots!

    League One = 4-4-2

Being a good tactician is about changing things at the right time. It's clear that the diamond absolutely battered Bury first half - but second half didn't protect us enough. Maybe a Manager with more tactical knowledge would have moved us to 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 and said "come on then, try to break...

When will we have our next manager?

I think the squad is good enough as it is. The only thing I would add is someone with blistering pace.

Hard to say which were his and which weren't until he was appointed Manager; and i'd say his signings were good as Manager. With wanker owners he managed to bring in Norwood and Nimely last season.

Stuart Linell Has Lost the Plot

Hang on - Thorn's gone but lets not pretend that 90% of Managers have to deal with what he has. It simply isn't true. The bloke's gone. He was good at signing players but couldn't get it right tactically it seems. Let's move on.

Stuart Linell Has Lost the Plot

Linnell is an arse. Egotistical baffoon.

    Dennis Wise

Wise is the man - let's get him in! Match made in heaven.

    Sheff facebook

The wink smiley suggests to me that McSheffrey is giving a nod towards Wise :claping hands:

    League One = 4-4-2

The League is not very complicated? Bit disrespectful. Teams don't all play 4-4-2 outside the Premier League - that's a myth. The key is to pick the right formation for the players at your disposal.

This Forum can decide the next City Manager...

Sky Blues - some very good points there. Of course we'll never know the answers to some of those questions and neither will the board until they interview. All we can do is put forward our preferred candidate based on what we know. If Southgate has already been lined up as some have...

We only owe money to SISU. To liquidate us would be to write the money they're 'owed' off. Unlikely.
