I'm not having people thank SISU for our current situation - that's ridiculous.

Seriously people - Portsmouth are a smaller club who had money thrown at them. By the same token Wigan aren't bigger. Also - no club anywhere near our size in English football has EVER been liquidated.

Yeah - name one our size. They're smaller ;)

Spot on Grendel. I hadn't looked at the stats. I want him as City Manager even more now!

Poll: Who should be next manager of Coventry City?

Quite a few people on this site wanting Managers who wouldn't come to us in a million years. Redknapp? Keegan? Souness? Get real people! :D

It really is laughable! We are a big club and if SISU pissed off then so would the £30mil debt they claim we owe.

You could say that Wise did a better job at Leeds than Brian Clough. Things aren't that simple. Wise ticks all the boxes for me. More so than any Manager anyone else has named.

Name a club anywhere near our size that has ever gone out of existence. Get real.

That's always been my fear - that the b*stards would use us to get to the Ricoh - then ditch us!

Cotterill is an arsehole! Please God no! :D

If SISU have acquired 50% then surely they'll start taking this football club seriously. There's plenty of money under SISU's control - just none of it allocated to 'project CCFC'

Many (reputable) posters today are saying that SISU have secured 50% of the Ricoh for £11mil. It's not like SISU to back signings - even on free transfers. Maybe, just maybe this will see SISU taking things seriously. In that case - an ambitious Manager would be great.

Terrible enough without Poyet to get Millwall to an FA Cup final? Also he had a behind the scenes role at Newcastle - he had nothing to do with their poor spell.

Exactly! The Cov Telegraph are telling the world that Billy Davies is the overwhelming fans' favourite! No way do I want Billy Davies - he spends millions and falls out with boards!

Rather we chose than let SISU. These are the guys who thought it'd be a good idea to sell all our best players and field kids in the Championship.

    Thankyou Andy Thorn

Agreed - thanks Andy, tried your best to play football as it should be done - and also did whatever it took not to rock the boat at an already unstable club.

So you want another puppet? Winners don't take sh1t. I want to win.

We have to get promoted this season - this is the big one. Fail and SISU will slash the budget accordingly. We cannot piss about with a cheap option like Richard Shaw who has no experience. If anyone can come up with more reasons than I have for their choice then go for it - but I very much...

But he hasn't spent money everywhere he's gone - so why would you think that?

Well every City Manager in history got chosen by someone - and by and large they've failed. The upside to being the fans choice is that it helps the club financially as people get behind it. In this case Wise also has the credentials to back it up.
