Oh Christ - I thought you were dead! * *Either that or talking rubbish on GMK.

    jermaine grandison

Yep, he was way down the pecking order. In fact just because he's a good League 2 player still doesn't suggest we're missing out.
  3. @richh87

    Strange.

My gripe is that Thorn does his best to produce attractive football with very limited resources and is clearly liked by the players, but that mongs actually seem to hate him. I will decide this season whether he is a good manager or not, because finally he's been given acceptable resources...

    Strange.

Agree. I won't be forgetting SISU exist, ever. They are scum.

Inflatables for Away Games? Remember the Man City fans with Banana's?

This is a great idea. We're the big boys in this league and if we do well we'll pack out away grounds. I've bought my inflatable elephant!

Good question - always wondered that.* *Although he was a bit of a clogger so perhaps didn't fit in with our passing style of play.

    rangers

Since the quote mentions gates the poster probably meant they'd struggle financially.

    Elliot

Not all that poor at all really - just had absolutely no service. His downfall was his behaviour. He's not the worst striker in City's history that longs make him out to be.

love him hate him AT keeps us guessing

I rarely disagree with anything he says. Genuinely.

    Barton signs

Very interesting! Mixed views - but all seem to say it was attitude rather than lack of talent. The last few years the spirit within our squad has been very good and I think he'll fit in well. The players gave their all last season IMO - just weren't good enough (or old enough).

love him hate him AT keeps us guessing

Let's keep good old Thorny out of threads if we can. I've been very pleasantly surprised by the signings we've made. My only worry is the two Frenchies playing centre half. It takes time to adapt to the physicality of English football - especially at this level.

    Any room for McSheffrey ?

Not quite right for me Kersley - I don't think Baker would pull his weight defensively in that role. Extremely excited about Fleck and Barton though. I'd also love to see Sheff's up front. His movement is top quality, he wins lots of pens and scores goals.

    Barton signs

I'm very excited about this signing. You read stuff like this and think - f*ck yeah!!! http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2011/01/03/2287719/liverpool-prepare-5m-bid-for-preston-youngster-adam-barton

    Deegan to hibs

We now need a few CMs then if true. Wouldn't be bothered about losing him though.

    All Thorn stuff aside...

I can see a pattern emerging here. Am I right in thinking you're going to ruin every thread on this site with your childish abuse of Andy Thorn? Bit of growing up required maybe??
  16. @richh87

    All Thorn stuff aside...

Did you not read the thread title mate? My point is that regardless of who is in charge, no team can do well without leadership - and we're sorely lacking it.
  17. @richh87

    All Thorn stuff aside...

Yep, central midfield is the best position for a captain to lead by example. The kind of central midfielder that people will look up to costs money though. There's a position there waiting to be filled - come on SISU, use some of the Keogh money to save our season before it's even started!
  18. @richh87

    All Thorn stuff aside...

We don't have a single player worthy of being captain. This is a big problem for such a young squad.

    Thorn post match statement watch

I'd just like to take this opportunity to point out that although I am a Thorn lover - I have not at any stage said we'll get promoted, coz we won't! The club is a joke and has been for years. We need new owners most crucially, one's who'll spend the money required to get us up again.

    Thorn post match statement watch

You've got a point there. I haven't noticed it with Duffy during the season, however Lordsummerisle is nowhere to be seen when we win - i'm sure he wants us to lose.
