I'm sorry - I've just caught up with this thread. What a load of shit that we couldn't have signed Carroll and Henderson!!! For Christ sake they had both been labelled trouble makers by their clubs! In Henderson's case he wasn't exactly brilliant for us either - so I doubt the Sunderland...

Bell was brilliant in that game to be fair! He just needs confidence I think. I think he'll have a good season - as will Baker.

More of a footballing centre back than most. Average in the air which is why he's been pushed out to full back so often, quick-ish unlike many Championship centre backs. His main strength is how tightly he marks players and the timing of his tackling is excellent always.
