    is it just coincidence

    Total coincidence.

    Stan Collymore -Thorn

Too many people on here underestimate what Thorn has achieved. He's a great shout for manager of the year. Late kick off the other night were saying what a fantastic job he's done too.

    Stan Collymore -Thorn

And there are some on here who'll tell you that making a scout manager is stupid...

    Norwood

I think Norwood's great but lacks the physique for being a really top player. Lower-end Premiership will be about his level I think.

if we survive should we keep thorn???

Top bloke, playing the right way and miraculously keeping us up with ridiculous circumstances to deal with. As Tankie said these kids would run through a brick wall for Andy Thorn. If he were to go it would be worse than when Eric Black went.

    Well Done SISU

Don't be stupid - they massively narrowed the range of loanees available by refusing to shell out for the experience Andy Thorn was crying out for. What a brilliant scout he is to find Nimely and Norwood and such a restrictive budget - and thank god. Any survival is in spite of those liars.

We need to calm down a bit

According to Colonel Mustard yesterday Thorn hasn't had to players fighting until recently. Funny how people's memories get clouded by results.

We need to calm down a bit

Spot on. Totally unreasonable to expect anything but a relegation fight. Queue Otis saying "I expected a bit of a struggle but not to be 8 points adrift around Xmas" :slap:
  9. @richh87

    Well Done SISU

Says the guy who ignores the context in which Thorn has had to manage this shambles of a club. Brilliant.

    Well Done SISU

Spot on. These liars have taken the piss. They have fluked us making a fight of survival. They couldn't give a shit about us. They ripped the squad apart, lied to us all about transfer funds and available wages, made us a laughing stock with Brody and Tango Man etc. If there was any...

    Well Done SISU

This. They need to f*** off. We're are bigger than several Premiership teams and just need the financial backing.

    Chance to bury Bristol City

There was always passion. First time i've heard anyone saying there wasn't. You know the reasons that this has been so tough for the club - don't pretend not to it's getting tedious.

It has to be said ...

We've got a chance of staying up because of Andy Thorn. Look at what other Championship clubs such as Donny and Forest have done with much more expensive squads. I think you need to get things into perspective - not just take the 'win = good manager' 'lose =bad manager' retarded view.
  14. @richh87

It has to be said ...

Bollocks. Our squad was ripped apart in the summer and kids forced into the team who weren't ready. Our top scorer sold in January - any idea how hard it is to deal with all that and keep the players believing? Thorn's astute bargain signings are what's done this. Get a brain.
  15. @richh87

It has to be said ...

Exactly. Playing passing football - great at spotting talent to sign, great motivator and now getting things right tactically too... What more could people want?
  16. @richh87

It has to be said ...

    Exactly. Mongs indeed.

The Takeover and the Bullshiters , where are you Dark Night et al ?

Yes. SISU would announce immediately when negotiations stop - they couldn't wait to announce it last time. No news is good news and bearing in mind both parties have admitted to being in talks we can only assume they are ongoing until we hear otherwise.
