OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

True, but there were 27 years between JS being sacked and MR’s second appointment, so we might have to be very patient…

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

Just really sad. Hope that the new man will be a success and we push on to the next level. Worry that this is the first move of a regular turnover of “underperforming” Managers, sorry - Head Coaches.

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

It was 15 months, but it was also the shortest possible timeframe for promotion to be achieved given where we were when he took over.

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

I was thinking the same. If the new "Head Coach" gets off to a slow start, it could all get a bit nasty.

He played very well. Much more advanced than our usual wing back position and we’ll supported by Binks.

Match Thread Coventry City - Luton Town Match Thread - Saturday 26th Oct

Went to the game with much less enthusiasm than usual given recent performances, but… Thought we started really well, with Simms and Wright looking very good. We could have been 2 up before the penalty and seemed to be well in control before their second. Couldn’t really believe we were 2 down...

    Our squad

I remember the last time we had a manager who over-achieved. Managed to win the FA Cup. Had us up in the top half of the table. Then we had a bit of a dodgy spell and the Chairman decided to get rid. Brought in Terry Butcher who went on to undo pretty much all of the good work that had been...

    Road closures

I can see the case for a (shortish) closure for pedestrian safety, but we were sat on Car Park A after the crowds had cleared playing spot the pedestrian. Meanwhile the roads stayed closed.

Disappointing result but a good performance. Bassette looks a very exciting prospect.

Before the game the general feeling was (I think) that a point would be decent, but that we also needed a better performance. On that basis, not a bad afternoon!

    Summer transfer window 2024

Guys, we are still confident of a double/triple signing announcement at 5pm, aren’t we? Aren’t we???

    Todd Cantwell

Presume SBD is working on the basis that the surname would be less likely to be Cantwell with two daughters (though certainly not impossible).

    Slowpoke RIP

So sorry to hear about your Dad. I lost mine a few years ago and still miss going to games with him and just generally chatting about City news. RIP Slowpoke.

Our first season back in the Championship, playing them felt like we were taking on Man City. We have come a long way.

    Transfer Rumour Norman Bassette

Not to get too carried away, but I remember another teenager that we signed a few years ago doing exactly that on his debut. Irish lad. Wonder what happened to him?? Edit - Bugger, beaten to it by Fernando...
