Sisu have sacked the ball boys

It's the weirdest ad hom I've ever seen.

Sisu have sacked the ball boys

Given that you keep bringing it up on random occasions, yes, it is a chip. I mean, just read what you wrote: it's a thousand miles away from any discussion of ball boys. Chip.

Sisu have sacked the ball boys

Still got that chip on your shoulder? Wow.
  4. Colonel Mustard

Sisu have sacked the ball boys

    A different discussion altogether.

Sisu have sacked the ball boys

No doubt that it's tough on the kids. Everybody will have sympathy for them. But it is disingenuous to think that any ownership would have made an exception. If this reaction lasts, I'd wager that SISU would pay to bus them over; but it will be a non-issue in a week, and we all know it.

Sisu have sacked the ball boys

It's ridiculous to think they'd take ground staff with them. And to be frank, if they did say they'd minibus the ballboys, you know the reaction here would be "lame PR attempt by SISU, we ain't fooled!"

Sisu have sacked the ball boys

Yep. Change of locality = loss of local jobs. Inevitable.

    Fisher rejects Hoffman offer

I assume they are smart because they have strong academic qualifications and a business that attracts wealthy investors. There would be no point in their move if the kitty was empty. Whether it's buying half of the Ricoh, or building a new stadium in Coventry, or building a new stadium...

    Fisher rejects Hoffman offer

"I'm offering to pay the rent, and sharing half of that ticket money with Otium. We would just take the rent money back and the rest could be invested in the academy." "The people who put the money up with me would take a return to cover financing and other costs. But kept to a reasonable sum."...

    Fisher rejects Hoffman offer

I think that is to continually underestimate SISU. They didn't come to Coventry with a reputation for niceness, and obviously they have enough investors who keep putting money in for some reason ...

    Fisher rejects Hoffman offer

In which case the council has nothing to worry about and SISU will fold. We'll see. Meh. The deal has been agreed. I'll bet on SISU's accountants figuring out a way around that.

    Politicians

I don't mind politicians getting a pay rise. It's the second jobs and directorships and corporate donors that I have a problem with.
  13. Colonel Mustard

    Fisher rejects Hoffman offer

Offering a loan and the burden of an external creditor for money that SISU themselves can afford? It is no kind of an offer. Redundant comments. You think so? I'd bet on SISU having a plan to make their money. They are currently doing everything on their terms, including moving the club...

    What are you taking?

    Fisher rejects Hoffman offer

Oh it is. That's why I'm speculating about "in time". Maybe it will come to nothing, but I know that if I was a councillor who had a hand in this saga, I'd be pretty worried about the prospect of team-less stadium and that mortgage at a time of cuts.
  16. Colonel Mustard

    Fisher rejects Hoffman offer

It's not so much to do with that. More along the lines of having a big stadium and hefty mortgage with no footie club and, likely, growing annoyance from the people of the city.
  17. Colonel Mustard

    Fisher rejects Hoffman offer

You talk as if Hoffman has something to offer. He doesn't. That's the point. I have no such delight. If you'd asked me how I felt instead of making assumptions, you could have spared yourself the next couple of paragraphs. Blah. Out of ACL, Hoffman & co, the fans, and SISU, which one do you...
