    Championship thread 24/25!

Could Lionel Messi do it on a wet and windy night in Morecambe? Yes, yes he could. There might be some dross there (MLS, not Morecambe), but I think there are a lot of good developing South and Central American talents there, too. Not surprising really that good young players from the...

    Phillipe Clemont

So you're saying that not only should two clubs from a different country's league be accepted into English football, despite having no more affiliation to it than (for example) Dinamo Minsk or Santos, that they should also be fast-tracked to its highest division? Even taking a neutral stance on...

The Welsh clubs have been integrated in the English football pyramid for as long as they've existed, so it's not a fair comparison.

It wouldn't actually be Celtic that would worry me. It would be the reaction of the'England-for-the-English' knuckle draggers and their 'no-surrendering' dribbling shite. People haven't moved on as far as you think.

    2030 World Cup

That it's nothing but a bloated parody of what it once was.

    2030 World Cup

World Cup's dead now anyway. Just a bloated propaganda tool for the world's worst regimes. Infantino is the useful idiot's useful idiot. And I thought I hated Blatter.

SISU to take over Cheltenham Town?

It's clearly an ironic response to a silly comment about how people don't know enough about Sisu to judge them. Anyone with even a cursory interest in the Football League know that SISU were a complete disaster that almost drove us into the ground, whilst simultaneously losing all chance of...

Best 11 since return to the championship

This is absolutely true. He should have had a hatful of goals.

Best 11 since return to the championship

I don't think he was over-rated for us at all; he was in a team whose remit was to stay in the division. He's also playing at a higher level than any other centre-half we've had in the period, which probably tells you something. His career trajectory is strange, though; since us, other than...

Best 11 since return to the championship

It's hard to imagine a less convincing rearguard than that. 😂

Best 11 since return to the championship

He never convinced me last year. Save percentage doesn't tell us the quality of shots faced, and he has a really bad habit of knocking saves (even fairly routine ones) right back into the danger area. He was nowhere close to the level of Moore in his first season, anyway.

Best 11 since return to the championship

Collins (blatantly); move Palmer into the middle, Kastaneer on the right. Kelly's steel in the first season was crucial to us staying up, and he also pulled us over the line in the playoff season. Add to that his leadership skills, and you have one of our most important players in this era...

Best 11 since return to the championship

Kelly and Moore don't deserve to be included in a team of dross.

    Serie A

They've managed to fuck up one of the most classic kits in world football with that mess on our right.

    Rudoni injury

Didn't even flinch! The tackle that provoked it wasn't quite as dramatic as I remembered, though.

    Rudoni injury

Rugby tackled Gascoigne, who then whacked Lloyd across the face with his forearm, which caused it to break.

Was Doug correct about the deck?

Not sure whose coaching team you're referring to there, but it's inarguable that the one we have now is better than the one at the start of the season. Kitching we'll probably never know what was going on. Perhaps it was Kitching himself decided that something had to change.

Was Doug correct about the deck?

I don't know about without the other two, but with the people appointed, it very obviously wasn't working. Perhaps with better appointments it may have been different, but we'll never know. Tbf, I don't think we've been taken to another level, we've just been brought back to the level we were...

Overall, we took the lead seven times against Oxford this season. They proved difficult to shake off.

Yeah, lets give the attention-seeking fuck-knuckle exactly what he wants. People like him just need to be ignored.
