    Asante

He should have scored without question but he doesn't deserve the hate he has been getting. At the moment he is not showing the quality we need. You cannot fault his workrate. He is giving everything. It's just not happening for him.

Tactically spot on first half. Lovely team goal. Not sure I have ever seen Van Erwijk in the offensive 6 yard box so assume that is a Lampard instruction. I think we will need the next goal to prevent them getting any momentum. Dovin looking very good again. Tempted to bring Eccles on for Sheaf...

    Our progress

Not really. The fact he gets assists via a set piece just demonstrates he is a technically better player. His goals have come in open play if I remember correctly. Agree they are different types of players but they are playing similar roles. My argument was more to back up that our form drop off...

    Our progress

Exactly. Rudoni has 6 assists and 3 goals in a struggling team, compared to O'Hare's 4 and 2 respectively in a high flying team. O'Hare's energy levels is a big miss, but technically Rudoni has a far superior end product. The few Sheffield Utd games I have seen this season, O'Hare has been very...

    Our progress

I think it is difficult to judge Lampard, either way, so soon. He will have had little time on the training pitch to make any significant improvements with the players. I wouldn't be surprised if there will be further coaching changes before the start of next season, along with two transfer...

    Bobby Thomas

Last season I would say he had far more decent performances than poor ones. This year has tilted the other way. Suggests to me is that he does have the ability. If the team were playing well and he wasn't then it would make sense to single him out. However, I don't think I have ever watched so...

    Dean Austin position untenable

But we are not allowed to question the Performance Director who previously discussed her involvement in using psychometrics to ensure that recruitments are the right fit. I don't think it is just Austin that should be under the spotlight. Dr Roberts came into post Feb/March 2023. Since then our...

We certainly didn't do enough to win the game and if it wasn't for a very good one on one stop from Dovin, it could have been worse.

Very odd to only make one change and then delay subs. Surely fresh legs at the back with either Binks or Kitching. Add then to get Torp off earlier. Lucky to get a point from 10 men.

The only players that can come out with some credit are Latibeudiere, Bidwell and Rudoni. Our midfield 3 and Sakamoto have done nothing. Van Erwijk is riddled with mistakes. Get Allen on for Torp or Bassette on the left with Rudoni replacing Torp. Individually we have been so poor, it is hard...

Dovin did well cutting out that cross. Collins would have stayed on his line

We have had some woeful whole team performances this season but this is right up there. Torp looks like he has never played football before. Van Erwijk shocking again. Sheaf and Eccles still hungover. Sakamoto yet to touch the ball.

Unfortunately it will take a massive shift for Simms to get close to top form. He's so far away at the moment. Although the boost of starting may help. I know it is not popular, but I would have Thomas-Asante as the front man and Bassette on the left. I think the latter is far more suitable for...

Anyone going? If so, have you received your tickets? I am not able to but did buy one for myself and my Dad.

    Season over?

In terms of play offs I believe it is over given the lack of points gained v poor teams. In terms of the longer term, it isn't over. There is so much to work on and my hope is we can gradually demonstrate an ability to show some consistency and that we can get some break through players or form...

Match Thread Coventry City - Millwall FC Match Thread - Sunday 29th Dec

I had to watch the match on my phone so really difficult to pick out individual performances. However, what was apparent to me was how committed we were to the 50:50s in the second half. That was far different to what we were seeing early season under Robins. They really did dig in. It wasn't...

Unfortunately missing it, being stuck in hospital. If Mason-Clark is out, then I would either have Rudoni on the left and Torp in behind, or Bassette on the left with Thomas-Asante up top. Him over Simms because of the energy he brings and he is better centrally.
