I don't think we need an overhaul. Players performances lift with 2 or 3 quality players. Hamer and Gyokeres carried us for most of the play-off season. And look at the change in Arsenal since Odegard returned.
After time to reflect, I don't think Rhys Carr did much wrong. To go in at halftime restricting them to very little offensively was good although not pretty. He tweaked things during the first half too.
Torp didn't work out playing a wide role but there was no reason to suggest he couldn't play...
Don't think we had any player who would score more than 6/10. That won't get us any points.
Think 2-0 flattered Burnley but they had better quality on the ball, which made all the difference.
We have defended really well as a whole team. Carr has got us well organised. We just haven't used the ball well enough when possession is turned over. Torp particularly has struggled getting involved. Think Rudoni might be on soon for him. Burnley have not given us any time on the ball, which...
I hope Bassette will be able to balance his enthusiasm/petulance as the season progresses. Can be a real asset, as it was today. However, it is fine line and hopefully he can temper enough to avoid bookings and worse.
Decent performance. Type of play we have been craving for - quicker passing, pressing, movement and fluidity. Just need to be more clinical at both ends.
Rhys Carr has done very well.
Think the first goal was not great for DaSilva, Thomas and Collins. DaSilva switched off for a moment and then outpaced, Thomas too slow and should have cut it out, and Collins could have been braver coming out to the ball.
So much more fluid in attack. We certainly aren't our usual predictable forward play. In the centre though we are giving Hamer far to much room to pick a pass.
Bassette has been a menace to them. Just needs to be disciplined second half to keep our advantage.
Most manager interviews are. I just like the fact he isn't giving anything away which could be the case with someone standing up and trying to look clever. If his calmness rubs off on the team then that too may be helpful in building confidence.
I have changed my mind about Lampard. Can never be sure how an individual will fit but I think he will develop our young players. He has high expectations about commitment during games and training; and will have decent links.
That was an interesting insight and fair play for being so open. I don't think many other clubs would have this.
I never expected that Robins was behind Vivash leaving. Still would have expected a more positive send off for Vivash on the CCFC media though.
If the players fitness is at premier...
