Our midfield - do we have problems?

Less likely yes because he was so dynamic but it doesn’t change the fundamentals of Watford overloading the midfield and pressing us out of possession.

Our midfield - do we have problems?

We did but not enough as Robins acknowledged in his interview. It was odd really you’d think the coaching staff would give the instruction during half time to play long to Wright more. With the Watford front 3 pressing high and two up front it was the time to do it. Instead we largely played it...

Our midfield - do we have problems?

Agreed and said as much yesterday. You put Hamer in for Eccles yesterday and it solves very little.

Our midfield - do we have problems?

One of the few sane responses to yesterdays game.

On a positive note really pleasing to see MVE and Wright start to bloom. Shame the back 3, who let’s remember have been very good to now, had a ropey one.

Our midfield - do we have problems?

I do agree but then at times last week both looked to be playing more of a box to box role. This week as mentioned above I think Watford pinned them then worked the ball around them. They had a thankless task.

Our midfield - do we have problems?

This is it. Both have been good for us and both are decent players. Although I think they are a bit too like minded and neither are very creative any midfield pairing would have struggled today because Watford used their two banks of three to overload the midfield. Out of possession they pressed...

Watford were very physical, hanging off him sometimes, of course he isn’t going to come out on top every time. Neither did Vik.

Some of you morons calling Palmer a luxury player, claiming he never tracks back, and does nothing off the ball might want to dig into the stats a bit. Joint highest tackles won, most duels and most duels won. Few people see an audacious flick, have made a rash judgement on him and are now...

    Match Thread Watford (h)

Few people moaning Palmer is a luxury player, daft comment really he gets stuck in. Watford a horrible team to play against. Energetic high press, physical but constant looking for a foul on them.

Had to check this reference has it looked familiar. Brings back happy memories of a simpler time!

    Transfer Rumour Haji Wright

He’s got a goal and an assist after what, one start and 20-30 mins. Ludicrous for people to be worried.

    Transfer Rumour Ellis Simms

I saw him make several runs where the ball wasn’t played in or was played too late. The team just needs time to bed in.

    We don't create enough

Aside from today we’ve created more clear cut chances on average than last season.

What’s WPW? Mine was Supraventricular tachycardia. I wasn’t familiar with the term adenosine challenge but having looked it up, yes. The ablation procedure is quite a bizarre experience, having things poke around at your heart while awake!

    King et al vs SISU

Understandably there’s lots of criticism here about the commercial aspects but this isn’t going to change overnight and there’s a clear effort to hire more staff, so things should improve. It’s also obvious there’s been a focus on improvement with Robins praising the efforts of King and others...

As disturbing as that is it makes some sense. If she had some mental issue making her devoid of empathy perhaps she became addicted to the adrenaline rush and sense of being needed.

I visited Rampton a few times for work several years ago. Odd place, especially when, if a prisoner was walking past, my escort would say “stand out the way in the corner and don’t make eye contact”.
