I was thinking about this the other day. We might have signed a few players who didn’t pan (possibly with little to no input from MR) but his track record of who he lets go cannot be faulted really.

Fair, but at the same time on our budget we need to try and find players who are a bit of a bargain, so we likely have to take a risk somewhere. In an ideal world we’d probably have a squad of 20 players who never get injured and can play in two or three positions.
