If they could offload Wood, Sheff, Bell and Murphy they could save £1.5 million (allegedly) - like has been said before the rent was only one of the clubs problems but the biggest is the unsustainable wage bill

The stumbling blocks outlined by Tim Fisher to the SCG were 1. More info about the F and B revenue streams 2. More info about financial stability of ACL 3. Need for break clauses in the remaining years of the 42 year lease/licence. He said they were happy with the rent agreed and as he didn't...

    Ground

I was in the Kettering area a couple of months ago when this issue was first raised and took a few minutes to go by Nene Park. A nice lady even let me into the ground. As it stands it is far too small for our needs but is in perfect condition. No weeds on the terraces, pitch in good nick, even...

SCG Teleconference with Tim Fisher tonight

Grendel you are overcomplicating it - its quite simple (and yes it is a good deal for CCFC which is why they have agreed to it) rent 400k ACL give CCFC their share of the profits from the f and b takings valued at 100k this gives a net cost to CCFC of 300k for the use of the Ricoh with no...

SCG Teleconference with Tim Fisher tonight

SBT - I did say my answer is NO - the cost of the deal is too high and in my view unnecessary in the acrimony it has bred. As I said our problems run far deeper than the rent and the wages is the biggest of them. Our current wage bill is simply unsustainable on our gates and income (even with a...

SCG Teleconference with Tim Fisher tonight

SBT - my own opinion is that whilst the deal is obviously much better than they had and that is of benefit to the football club we all love but the problems at the club run far deeper than just the rent and whilst a saving of 800k is good I fear it may have taken everybody's eye of the bigger...

SCG Teleconference with Tim Fisher tonight

I think this whole thing has become so acrimonious that when (please let that be soon) an agreement is finally reached I doubt either side will be happy ;)

SCG Teleconference with Tim Fisher tonight

Last night Tim Fisher did state he had asked ACL for mediation but only during a radio broadcast and on the clubs website, no direct request made to ACL with terms of reference or anything like that. I believe when Linnell pressed him on the radio on Saturday about abiding by any third party...

SCG Teleconference with Tim Fisher tonight

Problem is that even if both sides do agree to mediation or arbitration then that would more than likely still be conducted behind closed doors and we would be no the wiser. A mediator would only be a referee and both sides can continue to argue, spin and bullshit to their hearts content but an...

SCG Teleconference with Tim Fisher tonight

Grendel - neither KH or me are calling Tim Fisher a liar, all KH has done is report what was said and I have confirmed it. Please do not try and twist what KH has reported in good faith.

SCG Teleconference with Tim Fisher tonight

Just for once I agree with you Torchy ;) After such a momentous event maybe we will win tonight!!!!! Both sides are guilty of levels of spin and unhelpful "facts" that seem designed to confuse and muddy the water - I am just waiting for one side or the other to state "My Dad's bigger than your...

SCG Teleconference with Tim Fisher tonight

As the Trust understands it the rent figure was agreed on behalf of the club by McGinnity. He was at the time offered a deal based on attendences but had the view that we would be filling the stadium and the club would be better off with a flat rate - oh hindsight is a fickle mistress

SCG Teleconference with Tim Fisher tonight

The JV with Compass is a company called EIC, owned by ACL and Compass, which together they run the catering and share the profits. I am not sure what the profits split is but the Trust are trying to get clarification. ACL have offered the club their share of the profits, obviously they cannot...

SCG Teleconference with Tim Fisher tonight

Couple of Points 1. In my opinion the assertion by Martin Reeves (I think it was) on CWR that the rent was £150k was misleading and unhelpful in getting the actual facts out there - I have outlined how this number has been reached but to call it rent is inaccurate. In fact the only two parts...

SCG Teleconference with Tim Fisher tonight

Grendel the 400k includes match day costs - they are not on top of the rent. Mr Fisher said last night that the rent etc had been agreed upon and his three sticking points were 1 more clarity on the food and beverage numbers 2 ACLs financial stability and 3 the length of the deal.

SCG Teleconference with Tim Fisher tonight

The 150k rebate was off the rates and 100k was what ACL were giving to club from the food so the 150k council was on about was 400k - 150k - 100k giving total cost to club of using ricoh as 150k per season and that included match day fees. So the stated 150k isn't strictly rent but the overall cost.
