Understand he’s raw but BNC did get on my nerves a little bit. Countless time's they pinged the ball over to our right and he’s (again) so far out of position, right next to McNally. Jamie Allen eventually was playing as a second wing back.

Callum Doyle had his slow-mo pills this morning. Eccles looked out of his depth in first half but grew into it. JWE was too far off it.
Utter rubbish, every word.

Same.

He's nowhere near good enough for Arsenal and will unlikely be getting much interest from sides above us. I believe his contract is up at the end of this season with Arsenal. With him settling in for us, we should be looking at signing him as we did with the likes of O'Hare and Sheaf at the end of their loans.
He signed a new 'long term' contract in August and is very highly rated at Arsenal. He'll be out on loan somewhere again next year.

Great, hard fought win. Sunderland have got some very good individuals (Robert’s and Clarke out wide being two) so we should be really pleased with that. We looked really dangerous on the break and two quality goals . Fun atmosphere as well

Could have come for the cross I think tricky at the side though
We have a system that suits our defenders and Wilson who is better at shot stopping than collecting crosses. It has given Wilson 14 clean sheets and would have been 15 if Hamer had not made a school boy error on the touchline. Either way, don't think it was Wilson's ball at all to collect. Our defenders should have easily dealt with the cross but we had a young inexperienced kid there who is learning the game and didn't close down the shot. We also lost the first header. The finish was top class and Wilson had no chance with the shot.

Ah fair enough. Transfermarkt suggested he was out of contract in May.

Unfortunately, he will never make it in the premier league. He'd be better off moving to somewhere he will play week in week out.

My brother said this today. I replied I never saw Jordan Henderson captaining Liverpool and England.
No, but I think pretty much everyone thought he would play in the Premier League. He looked a cut above the league during his small spell with us, so much so we were all hoping to sign him in the summer. I may be wrong but the only young loan outfield players I can remember having a top flight career after us was Jack Cork, Henderson, Warnock and Van Aarnholt, all of which looked above championship standard during their short time with us.

Excellent result and some superb play against a more than decent side. Even though I’ve seen the possession stats (and must admit they surprised me at how much Sunderland had) I thought we used the ball far better and created the far better chances. I was particularly impressed that when we turned ball over we broke very quickly and then did everything we could to box them in. Allen’s covering of the wing backs really impressive and again in right place to score the first. Fadz so important to the back line for organisation and leadership. Vik could/should have scored early on (at least make the keeper work). Palmer looked on fire early on and just hope he not out for long. Cuffey grew into the game and although out of position at times defensively he is now an integral member of the team.
Their left wing was v talented but seemed more intent on complaining to ref than beating his man. On at least three occasions he had beaten his man but didn’t drive to box when the opportunity there.
Thought they might have been given a penalty for hand ball in second half and they looked quite dangerous at corners.
I’ve seen that Sunderland fans angry at ref but really don’t know why. Did their player accidentally tread on ours or was it a stamp…if so defo red. Also their centre backs made no attempt to win balls in air v Vik but we’re only concerned with pushing, holding, dragging him. Why on earth didn’t ref take any action? When o’nien came there was an example when he wasn’t looking at the ball but solely intent on grabbing and disrupting Vik. V poor from ref.

There were at least 5 occasions where their player went down and the ref waved it away. Which means they dived. Pretty sure it was just the 2 players as well, Clarke and Roberts. Kept wondering after the 2nd or 3rd time why the ref didn’t book them.

I feel a bit sorry for JWE but he’s just not up to it - if palmer isn’t out we need to play godden
You were saying this sort of nonsense about Norton-Cuffy after his first few appearances. There's enough there to see he will have a good career so I don't think he needs your pity.

He does need to get some tackles in but let's give young players a chance.

I think the ref was generally inconsistent but weirdly fair i.e. he was shite

BNC was very poor for large parts today. Still don't think he is any better than Dabo or Kane or Eccles there. He defended better second half though.

Just don't understand why you feel this way about this player. He's been great in the last few matches and frankly I am astounded you can't see it.

He was brilliant against Millwall, but for me has been average at best against Rotherham and today against Sunderland. He had a better second half but was terrible first half.

I don’t think he’s great either - why you think we should be a charity for development players I just find bizarre

Great? Still you were saying Gyokeres wasn’t premier league quality no doubt while Cuffey was having a great game
