He won't feel he's earnt it yet. Lapping up praise for some pretty average form might not be a great look.don’t know about ashamed but he hasn’t built any connection with the fans at games
might just be his persona but already Lampard names hasn’t really been sung
when we did, he just sat there no acknowledging
actually the weirdest criticism of a manager I have ever readOne thing I’ve noticed about FL he hasn’t really referenced us at all on his insta or that he’s managing us, or posted when he got the job or anything.
To me it kinda feels like he’s ashamed

Mark would write to me personally to thank me for singing “Walking in a Robins wonderland” after every home game. Actually got a bit draining after seven years, but I appreciated the effort.might just be his persona but already Lampard names hasn’t really been sung

good for him
still doesn’t hide from the fact Lampard hasn’t adhered himself to the fans
Respectfully I think he’s just trying to get on with the job. He thanked the fans for the welcome and made sure to show gratitude at the first home match and away match.don’t know about ashamed but he hasn’t built any connection with the fans at games

clapping when? During the game? I don't like that anywayffs clapping the fans when they sing your name isn’t lapping up praise
it’s called connecting with the fans
Just when you thought things couldn't get any weirder...One thing I’ve noticed about FL he hasn’t really referenced us at all on his insta or that he’s managing us, or posted when he got the job or anything.

Me too, Ally was loving it (have a bit of a soft spot for him since)I went to the game but couldn’t stay out for the drinking unfortunately! 100% I was sat away from my group and the scenes was still just something you couldn’t explain to someone not there.
Trying to describe it to the Mrs had her looking at me like a crazy person.
I still watch Ally McCoist’s ‘ohh nawww’ commentary every so often.
actually the weirdest criticism of a manager I have ever read
oh dear you're actually being seriousJust look at his posts and some of the things he’s referenced but nothing about us.
Rodri’s Ballon D’or, Sven dying… you’d think him getting the Cov job would be worth referencing and getting the fans on his side and building a following of the fans. Look at Mourinho with Fenerbache, he’s got all the fans on board with him.
Radio silence from Frank

This comes again to connection with fansI view it that he doesn't feel he's earnt anything yet. And he would be right.
In interviews listen to what he says, he referes to the club, players and fans as 'they' or 'their'
And i think hes right too. He comes in after the best manager in the clubs history, knowing the reaction that got, and the shite football this year
I bet it will change if we start winning, or if he's here for a couple of years
When Robins came back and we were relegated to L2, how did you find the connection between the manager/players and fans? It felt disconnected for a while for me, until the second half of the season when we are pushing for the play-offsThis comes again to connection with fans
boddy and robins both said they wanted to reconnect the fans with the club which they did
that connection is drifting away again
fans are fickle bunch. you want to keep them on side
if you don’t interact with the fans from the start the relationship will soon fade
Not quite the same. I parked near the ground at Cardiff and when they let the traffic out it flowed. At the CBS people can't even get out of the car park for nearly an hour and that's before they encounter the road system.
How did Robins do that? By winning games, promotion and a league title. Not clapping ffsThis comes again to connection with fans

Not really. There was much more to it than that.
Not really.
At the end of the day those things would've been meaningless without the results on the pitch. If you think things like the fans forums he held at the start and things like making the players go over and clap after each game had no impact I don’t know what to say.
I’m not sure you remember quite how toxic the club was in 2017
Well I might... if he was cheering on the Leicester in an unironic manner or "Dominique Pelicot - what a great guy!" but seriously Downunder - has he been posting much in the last couple of months? Any possibility he just has less time on his hands now than when he was unemployed?Who gives a shit what he puts on social media?

I still a ST holder back then lol
Everyone was so keen to proclaim ourselves "best fanbase" in the league when things were going well.
Saying its up to the players, well thats basically admitting we are no better than every other team in the league.
(there's nothing wrong with that, but everyone will be talking the fanbase up again during the next good run/playoff charge)

it more than just what happened on the pitch
robins would acknowledge the fans at any given time
everytime the fans sang his name, even at the start, he would acknowledge the fans
you can deny that all you want, it’s true
a few times now Lampard has had his name sang no acknowledgment
since then his name hasn’t been sung once
Little things make a big impression or little impression in this instance
fans remember the finer things especially when the going gets tough
The Pompey game was a prime example for anyone there that day
