I was really hoping we'd get to spend the summer going over the same old 'how did we end up in Birmingham' and whose to blame. Who will be the first person to post up percentages of blame for all the parties involved?
You're making a lot of assumptions without knowing any facts. Equally as bad.
Boring as fuck.
That our owners dreadful strategy has lost us millions of pounds and made us uncompetitive in this league entirely through her own moronic behaviour?
ok
Facts according to whom?
The average crowd 2019/20 season at st Andrews was 6677.
There would have been a definite increase in crowds for the last 5 home games I would agree.
To increase the season average to 12000 would mean over 31000 for each of the 5 missing games. Possible but very very unlikely. Yes the final game could have been pushing 20000 but it would not have made a substantial difference to the finances after you deduct direct and other costs.
Would the average have been higher had we stayed at the Ricoh certainly in my opinion. Would the seasons average have been over 12000 more likely. The last game would probably be well over 20k
But none of this happened because of actions by the stake holders involved and that includes decisions and choices made by SISU. The effect of that has been to worsen the clubs financial position before the pandemic hit
Wasps & CCFC.
So tell everyone what both parties said then - was this before Seppalla decided on the EU nonsense or after?
Boring as fuck @mark82?
At other clubs fans unite attempting and some succeed to good rid of dodgepot owners here we go for tea and biscuits with them.
Good job we’ve got Robins to counterbalance it then. Best finish ever under SISU in the championship despite their strategy losing us millions meaning he didn’t have a project premier league like Coleman. Thank god that taxi didn’t turn up hey. That our owners dreadful strategy has lost us millions of pounds and made us uncompetitive in this league entirely through her own moronic behaviour?
ok

How can you say we are not competitive when we finish mid table in our first season promoted when competing against several teams with ex Premier League players and parachute payments.
I would suggest the strategy ( if sustained with an improvement this year) should be applauded.
You know perfectly well what I mean. You and a few others just taking it round in circles constantly. He's to blame, she's to blame. What do you get out of this? I'm assuming you must enjoy it? Or have you really got so little else to do with your time?
After. As I've said before, Sisu & CCFC believe the state aid case to be valid. Their perogative. I don't agree personally (or more that I believe the issues it's caused the club are not worth it). Reports of the reason for breakdown in talks last year not far wide of the mark (although I'm not sure the indemnity word was necessarily the most reflective, more restrictions of legal rights). Both sides positions are perfectly understandable and reasonable when seen through their eyes. Equally there is blame on both sides.
Mr Boddy and Mr Robbins are in agreement that the owners do not provide competitive funding don’t they? Didn’t robins claim our budget was worse than Wycombe?
You could be correct, the club are not going to publicise how much money they have to spend as previously done as this would surely inflate transfers and agent fees!I feel there has been constant downplaying of the budget. Was claimed our budget was mid table for League 1 but the subsequent accounts and agent fees show that to be unlikely.
Our budget would have no doubt have been towards the bottom end but lower than Wycombe’s I would be amazed.

From 2 years ago though, they don't publish predicted expenditureThe accounts publish what the owners have spent

how did Wycombe get on last season with their bigger budget?

So we had a top 5 budget based on player sales or add-ons!re League 1 have checked the 23 clubs
Not possible to get info on turnovers from Co House - not all companies have filed accounts yet. Some that have dont have to provide the detail. So missing info on 10 (Wycombe, Fleetwood, Doncaster, Gillingham, Ipswich, Bristol Rovers, Accrington, MK Dons, Southend & Bolton)
But it also depends on what you class as "income" not many League 1 teams make player sales of over £4m as we did in 2019/20 and the year before.
Of those i could find detail on, then if you include player sales we are 5th with Sunderland (32m) unsurprisingly but also Portsmouth (£13m), Oxford(£12m) having more, with Rotherham being £250k more than us. We had £9.4m income on that basis
The missing ones are unlikely to be more than us with the exception of Ipswich perhaps
League positions CCFC 1st, Rotherham 2nd Oxford 4th Portsmouth 5th Sunderland 8th

Thanks OSB, the accounts will be interesting next year BUT won't every club!Yes but if you just restrict it to non player sales income then we would be mid table, but we were playing in Birmingham and a sizeable number of fans voted with their feet and didnt go. Also depends on how many home games each club had left.
its all in how you say it or spin it

Tbh ive always thought we have more money than the club let on. Im fine with that tbf, the underdog mentality has done us great the last few years
You're saying the accounts are lies?
Yeah we should firebomb their house and threaten their children you’re rightAt other clubs fans unite attempting and some succeed to get rid of dodgepot owners here we go for tea and biscuits with them.
You cannot argue it both ways.
You really do peddle the most emotive claptrapIm sure they do believe it to be valid. Also wasps response would be valid
If the boot was on the other foot I’m sure our commander in chief would have acted exactly as wasps did and the boot licker Boddy would have peddled it in a nice way - and you’d be peddling it back on here
