Is it right that the original Moneyball dude is involved at some level?

Billy Beane is not my loverrrrrrBilly Beane, yeah he’s a small stake holder, he’s also got a lump of AZ Alkmaar too. But he isn’t involved in any of our majority owners other clubs just ours.
Going for a Moneyball recruitment strategy with our finances makes complete sense but because we're skint we can't attract the best Moneyballers in the business unlike Barnsley who I believe have the original Mr Moneyball on board. So some mistakes are inevitable
You’d have thought head of recruitment would have been above the woman that washes the kits
At this rate Rooney may have to play this seasonIf anyone isn't happy with our transfer business just remember - at least we're not Derby...

Sounds like a right shambles they were lucky to survive last seasonAt this rate Rooney may have to play this season
After the way they seemed to have escaped cheating the system , don’t feel sorry for them one bit. Hopefully get what they deserve , although feel a bit for the fans of course

I wasn’t serious I’m sorryI mean if we could get Carroll on a pay as you play its a no brainer. But hes not gonna want that is he so its a non starter.
Few rumours circulating that Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Maddison and are now set to submit a bid of around £60m.
Assuming Leicester accept that I presume we'll receive some kind of windfall.
I thought our "sell on clause"only applied to when Norwich sold him.Few rumours circulating that Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Maddison and are now set to submit a bid of around £60m.

Didn't it used to be you couldn't speak to a player until you'd had a bid accepted. Tapping up I think it's called,
£50m on Ben White and £60m on Maddison....can't see it myself. Even with Premiership money they'd have to sell a fair bit to justify that. Lacazette only has one year left on his contract so won't go for huge amounts. hold, just remembered they've got the Sheaf money.......Few rumours circulating that Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Maddison and are now set to submit a bid of around £60m.

I think in these days of mobile phones, emails, agents etc, etc. the old tapping up rule is defunct that’s if it ever really worked.Probably the most ignored rule in all of football

Think we get a little windfall from any Maddison deal, Norwich get a percentage of any profit and we get a percentage of the Norwich percentage of you get my drift.£50m on Ben White and £60m on Maddison....can't see it myself. Although it might be less upfront and we’d only get a percentage of that. Still, few hundred grand would go a long way.15% would be great, £1.35m by my calculations off a £60m fee. Or one Hamer.
I’m sure I have read somewhere it is 15% but it is off the profit so you have to take off what Leicester paid Norwich which I think was £20million so doing the maths it looks to me to be about £900k.15% would be great, £1.35m by my calculations off a £60m fee. Or one Hamer.

It certainly was a super deal and a clever one it has financed a few deals & kept Joy happy too.We got a great deal out of Maddison and I won't have it any other way. People only don't want to admit it as that doesn't go along with the sisu asset stripping narrative.
