Would definitely take Walsh. He looked the best midfielder vs Blues last season in the 'home' cup tie. Paterson too, has the ability to score goals from multiple AM positions in this league.

Is there actually any substance to this Hamer stuff. All I've read is regurgitated rumours on random ITK twitter accounts. All seem to copy each other but change the destination club.

And no all of a sudden "he clearly wants out of the club".

The fact that his name is being bandied around so much (the Athletic and some other actual websites have mentioned him) would suggest that his agent is stirring things up. It's like agent 101 to leak 'interest' in your client from multiple clubs. Remember how Maddison and Bayliss were being linked to Liverpool, Spurs, City etc. for months before they got their moves? All placed there by agents.

Midfield 4 next season of Kelly, James, Sheaf and Walsh would be excellent.

Hamer will be sold, Eccles should go to a season loan in L1 and Allen and Shipley are for the attacking roles, even then we’ll be looking at moving at least one of them on.

Don't see the point of sending Eccles out on loan again. Granted, he might not be in the starting XI from the off, but given the likelihood of injuries over the Championship season, he is likely to get game time by staying with us.

If we have those 4 in then he’ll be bench with bit time play at best with injuries. I’d rather he went out and started 40 games in L1 than played bits and pieces here.

But all of the 4 midfielders you previously mentioned have had their injury problems. We are likely to need him, so what's the point of loaning him out again and leaving ourselves short? The fact he can also fill in at full back or in defence makes him even more invaluable to the squad. He's had his learning stint in League 1 so its now time for him to step up. Including sub appearances I can easily see him featuring in half our games next season.

I’ve consistently thought Walsh would end up here which will then free up Hamer to leave in January. Could happen this summer but you tend to get more money in Jan, so it’s whether we can carry wages for both for half the season. Either way, intriguing.

I see the MK Dons left back Sorinola who was much in demand has gone to Union SG in Belgium. Their owner is Tony Bloom who owns Brighton, another Premier League club screwing a lower league club out of proper compensation.

No actual news but it is reminiscent of the situation with O'Hare last season isn't it?
The lad liked it here and didn't get on well with the previous Brizzle manager
Not sure about the relationship with Nigel Pearson
I suspect talks have been taking place and wouldn't be surprised to see Walsh come back if we can make an acceptable offer
His team mates would certainly welcome him back

The prospect of Walsh and Paterson joining is quite an exciting one isn't it. While they may well be boring and obvious suggestions (one ex player, one player from Cov) they'd both be brilliant. Also seems there's something in it.
Shows how far we've come that they now seem like realistic signings.

You mean the mob who thought Biamou should get the keys to the city don't think Walsh and Paterson would be good signings?
I can't say I'm surprised but it shows what we're working with. Our fan base is 90% minimum thick as fuck.
I wonder which donkey will be the next fan favourite and which genuinely good footballer will become a boo boy?

Walker or Sheaf are odds on favourites

Took the words right out of my pie hole.

Won’t take them long either, first game back you’ll hear some c**t calling Walker lazy and Sheaf shit before they’ve done much.
Often thought our fans held us back. I've sat there many times thinking 'who would actually want to play for these people?'
