The fact that his name is being bandied around so much (the Athletic and some other actual websites have mentioned him) would suggest that his agent is stirring things up. It's like agent 101 to leak 'interest' in your client from multiple clubs. Remember how Maddison and Bayliss were being linked to Liverpool, Spurs, City etc. for months before they got their moves? All placed there by agents.

It does happen but I don’t think it’s the case here, usually they go through small time websites. EFL Zone are the ones posting it hoping something sticks... it’s got to eventually.

The most obvious planted one I can think of is Westbrooke to Leeds/WBA last season, describing him as one of the best players in the FL.

Fair enough.

Brighton have triggered a 1 year extension for Walton so they are expecting a fee.

Suspect the same will happen for Leo.

I have this sneaky feeling we may get Brighton players and cash in exchange for Hamer

Id do a straight swap Hamer for Østigård/Györkeres/Walton every day of the week. Add James, Pattison and Walsh on frees, just need to find cash for a LWB and a CB and compo for Twine. Done.

Why would we need to swap for Walton when he’s a free agent

You’d make him one of the highest players but we can’t go down the route of over spending again. Such a shame we can’t invest a little more with a plan to review after a period of time but it’s not my money

There would be clubs willing to pay a bit for Marosi in L1 though, but I also agree that overspending on a goalkeeper hasn’t worked out well recently for the clubs to have done so.

Nixon also reporting chelsea are letting Luke McCormick go on a free with a sell on clause built into the contract, he’d be a decent AM. Looked good at Bristol rovers.

There must be a good chance at 22 and still hanging around the lower leagues on loan.

I have my doubts there will be many if any league one or two clubs shelling out transfer fees this summer perhaps might be able to do a part-ex.

Is he the insulation Mogul or the dance academy on Bray's lane?😉

They do but aren't taking up the option as Potter isn't happy with his ability (or lack of) at playing out from the back.

Not definitively. We've been a bit more pragmatic in our approach this season & just because he's not deemed good enough for a PL team in that department, we are likely a lot less demanding. We took Maroši knowing his weakness under high balls for example. The complete package will likely be too costly.

Turns out my dad met Dan Crowley this morning at his Church, didn't realise who he was and ended up chatting City with him for about half an hour. Should have told him to sign for us, think hes done quite well at Hull.

It's not his agent hawking him around.
There is interest as he is a decent player.
Some people won't be aware that people are watching players all the time.
Scouts don't even have to go to games anymore - Google "wyscout". This is the platform that clubs use.
Posted on here a few weeks back that the talk within the game is to expect a few championship clubs to test the water with some bids.
There is interest. But some clubs may, and some may not act on this interest.

I know it's all hypotheticals, but I'd be really annoyed if we sold Hamer to another Championship team.
West Brom, for example, will be "another Championship club"
There are clubs in this division that can easily blow us out of the water financially and will be a step up for him.

If he moves my money is on Rangers they have been linked for a while now they are in the champion league next season and that would be a big lure for Hamer

Not sure there is too much appeal in two Champions League games and four auld firm derbies. The rest of the season is not competitive

Have to disagree here, Rangers is an obvious upgrade on CCFC.

It probably is but nowhere close to the upgrade it once was. Ultimately for foreign players, playing for a championship team or playing for an old firm team are a chance to get yourself in the shop window for a premiership move. So probably whichever one pays you more would be the decider.
