I’d like to think we’d get a bit of cash for Allen. Realistically no more than 100-150k but every little helps.

100-150k would be an absolute steal for us. Last year of his contract and he’s at least 4th choice at CM and CAM. We’ll let him go for free when we’ve got someone lined up I imagine.

He was instrumental in our promotion season and I quite like him. But, didn’t have much output nor impact last season and it’s probably for the best for both parties to move him on.

Unusual one this but there's a rumour that Martin Cranie will be coming in as a trialist to make up the numbers for the upcoming friendlies this week. Whether there's any more to it than that remains to be seen.

@better days @skybluebeast @Skybluebeliever Any of you heard this?
Can’t see it , Salary would be too high , with bringing in Moore, sheaf , waghorne and victor they have taken up the increase in budget . From what I understand it will be loans

I think it will depend on how many teams are interested. I would think there will be a few league 1 sides interested which should enable us to ask for a fee

Surely that’s a given it’s an opinion or does every poster need to add imo after a post?
He's stating it as if it is a fact.
What is a fact is that when both Sheaf and Kelly were available last season,on most occasions, Robins opted for Kelly. This would suggest that in Robins' opinion, Kelly was the better option.
Sheaf may well turn out to be a fine player, let's hope so. However, based on last season's perfomances, I would go along with Robins and see Kelly as the more effective player at the moment.

Ive just realised Mowbray has done it again, he has released 7-8 players and signed a whopping 0

They will be reliant on selling Armstrong for funds, just read they have turned down 15 million as they value him nearer to 25 but in the last year of his contract. Newcastle will get 40% of the deal. Venus will be in charge by Xmas before the Mowbray post Xmas fall starts.

I'd take him back
Me too. Everyone wants someone young with the potential to be the next superkid, which is fair enough as it is exciting as you don't really know what you are getting, but we defo shouldn't turn our noses up at a bit of experience.

We shouldn't. Always nervy at that age you get the season where their legs do go - thinking De Zeeuw in particular.

Oh of course you have to make sure they are still up to it/aren't just interested in one final half decent contract, but I'd like to think we're a bit better at spotting the con men these days.

Cranie could be a good signing on a 1 year deal.

Did he get injured last year As played the 1st 12 games. As out for a couple then was on the bench and used as a sub

Well, De Zeeuw was anything but a conman. We got a player who'd been the embodiment of professionalism, but we got him for the season he finally couldn't play football to a level.

Hmmm the cynic in me always thinks they know, but maybe I'm just holding Sherwood against everyone haha. Either way, I'm sure Cranie is still good for a years contract.

Cranie 35 this season. If we ended up with him and fadz in same line up we would be fucked, I imagine he has no pace.

Nor does Hyam

Sure it’s nothing but Hamer’s missus has put a post on Instagram saying ‘last day in Kenilworth’…
