Think there are 6 other local authorities surrounding Coventry, don't think it would be too difficult for media or local politicians to dig out the truth. Anoher thing a relative, a serving Police officer tells me he doubts if Warwickshre police have the man power to police football matches on a regular basis

Why do people think there is no place within Coventry or nearby? Maybe there aren't any places on the market but there are other methods of buying land. 1) find land you like and make an offer. 2) find land for sale where the owner wants a private sale. Just because people on here google 'land for sale' doesn't mean there aren't places. I know for a fact the Police have tried to get rid of the college on Ryton. That would be so good for the club being right next to the training ground.

that wouldn't stop them from buying land on its own but if true it could possibly be a spanner in the works for planning permission.
I'm intrigued to know why It would be good to situate a Ground n Ryton with all the access problems.
does the £25 mill stadium costs include demolition?
It would need to be a previous industrial site as green belt would have it's own implications, particularly 60 acres.
Each Council should be asked individually whether they have been approached using the freedom of information act.
Perhaps this is something the trust can do?
dont they want a multi purpose site, so they can sell the surrounding land to maccy d's, tesco's, cineworld etc to pay for the stadium development? do you really think that will happen in a small warwickshire village? surely that would have happened already on the old peugeot site if it was a possibility?
John Thompson said:ALLEGEDLY........ It seems its the Ryton site, "someone in the planning office who had seen the outline planning pernission get passed by Warwickshire council." but its not making any sense
Think they have been waiting a while for answers, what about the local MPs asking the question. Less than 18 month to a General Election perhaps that could motivate them a bit.According to Steve they have and are waiting in replies from some councils but he didn't say which ones.
Between M6 J3 and the Leekes (was Makro). That's in Warwickshire.
200 Yds from Ricoh so should make it interesting !!!.
Must be greenfield and away from current development IMO but In a development zone ,equates to around £80K. per acre . Had a look
yesterday and found a 1.25 acre site In Longford yesterday £500K.+ , for reference I think agricultural comes In around £12-£15K.

Try £7-8k per acre for agricultural land
Odium/Shitzu would follow an appeal process that has been perfected by the likes of Tesco where they keep applying until they get what they want.
This government have thrown out a lot of greenfield protection and Odium/Shitzu would follow an appeal process that has been perfected by the likes of Tesco where they keep applying until they get what they want. Is there 60 acres the other side of Warwick Uni currently owned by the university as I gather this is where they are looking at?
Sorry i stand corrected.
sorry about that.I know someone who has a farm. Around 4-5 years ago it was £2k ish.
Haven't a clue and this may be bullshit but my brother knows a guy who has some dealings with SISU who says Joy Seppala told him it was near Warwick University as their site of choice. My own opinion is that I dont doubt plan A is to get the Ricoh on the cheap, but I think there are people who run the club now who are so one-eyed that they would stubbornly do anything to get one over on the Council. If that wasn't the case why persist with Sixfields. They count the players the commentators, the stewards and ball boys, not to mention all the free tickets the players get in the gate. Take those out, the neutrals locally who go in the Coventry end and there really arent many paying people supporting the City at all.Would that be the Burton Green side or more to Kenilworth rd /A46?
