you know that bit in toy story when woody shouts at the delusional buzz: 'you are a toy!'.....
The have no interest in investing in the stadium to the benefit of the club. They want it cheap to benefit them.
I'm not repeating it again. Just no
Although a bit abstract, what benefits SISU benefits CCFC, or may make CCFC a more attractive proposition to any potential buyer. Who knows. It's likely to be better than the existing situation.
I think the difference here is not so much supporting the entity know as SISU but supporting the entity know as the Sky Blues and finding a way that will achieve that. Owners will come and go. In the immediate term it is clear the football club is dependent on SISU. We need to get them back at the Ricoh. The stadium is council owned....that should change.
is the future so reliant on SISU?
While they own the football club and refuse to talk to any potential purchasers then yes, unfortunately we are reliant on SISU.
But in turn, aren't SISU reliant on the Football League and ACL?
Wat the council and Higgs have put into the arena soes not equal its market value. The council put very little into the stadium, Tesco funded the majority. However that does not give the club the divine right to get a large chnk of the equity in the property for free. Why should SISU benefit from something they have not contributed to, the increased debts are mostly due to ineffective management we should not expect the council / ACL to subsidise their incompetency through giving them the stadium or part of for free or on the cheap.
IMO ACL won't sign the AVC
There will be a points deduction
The FA will step in and force CCFC to play at the Ricoh
There will be a mass player exodus by 31/08/13
The Council put in roughly 10% of the cost of the complex. Not a bad return.
With regards the complex, SISU put in feck all and are still after a return
Blinded by SISU Hate. To allow SISU purchase ownership of the Ricoh would mean the club will benefit greatly.
Don't disagree. But I guess they are like any owner - and I'm including any future custodians - they want a piece of the action.
Seems not. The FL don't seem to give a toss and SISU seem prepared to leave ACL to sink or swim. I'm just hoping (though I still think it's a long shot) that common sense will prevail and a deal will be struck. The most important thing at the moment is to stay in Coventry.
You would put your mortgage if you have one on that would you?
yawnnnnnnnnnn!!
You may well yawn, but if he's right (and a lot think he is), how does this help our club in the long term? I want the club to own the stadium, but I want the club's owners to care about the club. Only ok about SISU getting stadium IF 'responsible' owners buy it off them.
MMM ...does it matter they are back as you put it? They are back, then that's all that matters surely? As others are beginning to realise a deal must be found and if they are at the table then lets hope one is found. Stop looking for the negative in everything, throw out the anger and hope a deal with SISU can be sorted that at least starts with our club back at the Ricoh and then take it from there............
Fair enough.
How does not owning our stadium in the long term not help the Football Club?
The reason I Yawned is because MMM like about 100% of supporters don't want to move to Northampton, he doesn't want to see us move into a SISU built Stadium on the edge of the city, yet when it's mentioned SISU want to do a deal to purchase a stake in the Ricoh this is also condemned, where does it end? What does this guy want? I understand no one wants SISU as owners but lets be honest they're going nowhere and we better used to them being around.
I said this earlier but SISU don't have the club at heart like the fans do, the thing is they care about there investment and as much as it pains me to say it they're right to its there business they have to look at maximising its revenue streams and they have to make sacrifices or play hard ball in order for this to happen.
I want the Ricoh to be owned by CCFC 100% and if this is SISU then fine, but that's what needs to happen, it then opens up the avenue of allowing a better offer for the club to come in, in the future if they (SISU) decide to sell and I can't see a reason why this move wouldn't benefit CCFC..

That's what you believe, a speculated opinion based on hatred or a conception of the owners. No hard facts or anywhere near relative truth Dear Chap.
And what hard facts do you have to counter the argument? He has all the past experiences of SHITSU's dealings upto date. Which in my view would back it up, no bother.
Engage my brain? That's not nice.. Skipping over that.
I am not talking about SISU's business records, but would it benefit a CCFC owned by SISU to own the Arena, Simply put yes.
Mindless abuse? I haven't abused based on anyone's opinon, however I do believe people are slating this idea to purchase the Arena which frankly purchasing our own ground and being 100% joined at the hip is a fantastic idea, is based on hatred and disapproval of the company that owns CCFC.
But should you have any beteter ideas then this that would keep us in Coventry, maximise our revenue, pull the crowds in to a stadium and have the feeling of a place called "Home" feel free to enlighten me...
But CCFC will not own the ARENA, SHITSU will. And before you say it's the same thing it isn't. What it is is that SHITSU own the football club that plays in their ground. You can guarantee that they will charge CCFC for playing there, take ALL the profit from the food & beverage and charge the club for anything it can including office space properly. Yes them owning the ARENA is going to be great for the club, MY ARSE
its not to some fans though, thats just it
some fans hate sisu more than they love ccfc
and that is the saddest part of all this.
If you really believe that then I'm sorry you really are a SHITU PLANT. what about the 1000's that went on the march on Saturday? Would you say they hated SHITSU more than loved the club. BOLLOCKS
125 year lease means any successors to SISU will be the councils puppets aswell? if there are claused that can be triggered to buy the ground outright i would agree with your deal.
the football club should own its own stadium.
Well have 2 choices. Watch us at the Ricoh or watch us crumble at Northampton. If watching at the Ricoh means ACL disappear who cares?
They are as greedy as sisu anyway. They have been like a parasite to the club since the ground opened. They need to go almost as much as sisu.
Hugh do yourself a favour chap and take a chill pill, it doesn't matter how much you hate SISU or want them rid of our club, the truth is they won't be going anywhere.
Being able to do a deal to own the Ricoh can only benefit CCFC if you cannot see that then open your eyes.
Are you actually beginning to make sense for once?

Wow a conspiracy theory..
As I have stated on this forum and to you in previous posts. I will not watch CCFC at home weather it be in Northampton or the Richo until we have new owners. Also Grendel I am not as selfish as you. I want ACL to get the best deal not just for the club, but the CITY OF COVENTRY who laid out the money to build the place, when the club fucked up their finances.
